Like I said earlier in this topic, that Washington team is a lot shakier and Holtby is a lot more unproven then people like to think.

Andy Brickley's (Boston's color analyst) Boston accent is great.

Fleury looks like he might shutout an NJ team with Schneider starting.

I remember when people used to say Ryan Suter was a product of Shea Weber.

Boy does Nashville surely miss him now.

He's a glorified Carle. Come on man, just look at those stats. Has to be a product of Weber. 1 season is too little time to count him as a Norris type player..... **** wait a second. Dustin Leed and others who argued that have to feel silly. If people watched him more than just looking at advanced and regular stats, they would have easily known he is the real deal, and not a product of anyone.

Yeah, those guys had a crazy run of trying to convince people Carle was better than what he actually was.

Hopefully for Nashville's sake Jones can fill the void in the next couple of seasons & they can find some forwards worth a damn. That team went downhill real quick after Suter bolted to Minny.

Well Laughton is certainly trying to make Homer regret sending him down to junior... 2 goals and 2 assists in his first game.

Juniors is a long ways away from the NHL. Although, Laughton should be on an NHL roster at this point just because that would be best for his development.

The selective stat twisting and statements that ran contrary to common observation of Carle's play was mind-numbing. They were damaging the fanbase with that nonsense in their articles.

I know it is but 4 points in his first game is still nice to see.

The moment they cherry picked some advanced stats to compare him to Chara should have been a sign to even casual fans.

Was that comparing an offensive Dman's stats to a defensive Dman's to show they were equivalent?

I can't remember exactly but I know Suter & Chara was used as measuring sticks for what ever stats they brought up.

You know what sucks? Looking at these other teams rosters and noticing they all (for the most part) have a young stud defender that is either already playing some big minutes or will in the future kind of sucks. We have L. Schenn, a bunch of mid aged guys and two extremely old guys. Excitingggg

Morin, Hagg and Ghost cant get here fast enough. (Well assuming they continue to devlop right which all 3 so far this season have shown.) Ghost to a lesser extent since he hasnt played yet but was named to College Hockey News 1st team preseason squad with some other real good players on the list also.

Not that Sbisa would really bolster the lineup (he's still having some growing pains), but I've been speculating for a while that I could see him ending back up in Philly. Don't know that he can really cement his spot in our lineup yet. That can all be subject to change depending on his performance this year, but we have a few great defensive prospects knocking on the door.

I laughed when I saw that! Laughed even more when he tied it and scored in the shootout after Kopitar's goal to get the win.

Quick had a great pokecheck on the second Minny shot. Channeled his inner Johnny Bower.

More the latter then the former. Or the former because of the latter.
