Trotz rolling the defensive pairings after the first pair.

Jones actually looks better than I thought.

Physically we seemed to back off a little that period.

Jones had one turnover but he's done fine otherwise carrying the puck.

He's shown no reason that he's not other than a flubbed pass and looking a little winded when stuck out there on a long shift.

It's his first game,so growing pains expected. Just a bit of sarcasm by us Blues fans.

Jones is a rookie he'll make mistakes but they didn't end up in the back of the net even strength as he's +2.

Special teams is what is killing this team. Even strength we haven't looked that bad. Maybe PP will look better once Forsberg and Stalberg get back. Hutton hasn't looked bad either. PP goal against but he's made more saves then Pekka.

You mean Cullen isn't the 1st line center we've been waiting for?

He's made few decent plays but I want to see more from him for sure.

My disappointment right now is with Bartley.

You mean Cullen is getting 1st line minutes? Oops ... he isn't.

At least Cullen, Fisher, and Gaustad are getting chances. The Legwand line has been invisible for all but its goal in the transition game. No established cycle all night.

It was a joke. As I said above, Cullen has played well.

My homer side had high hopes for these first 2 games.
My realist side knew they would struggle to find cohesiveness even before the Bergs were lost to injury. So I have just been looking for positive signs since the first period.

Our special teams need lots of work as others have noted. Jones has been better than I expected, as has Ekholm. Even strength there have been flashes of very strong forecheck play and puck possession.

The good news is there is now game video against a first rate D club to breakdown. Hopefully the staff can work with this, get guys in a room and figure out what to do. Pekka? Wow got to figure out what was going on there. He did not look like the same goalie I saw a week ago.
