Oh, look, yet another cross-crease pass with a player wide open in a prime scoring area.

2nd time this game that's happened (Plekanec missed one earlier) and third time to my recollection that a player scored wide open on the side of the net.

Coburn just got beat in front of the net by a smurf.

Atleast start a damn scrum like come on. I would be taking someone's head off in frustration if it were my team playing this bad.

Maybe, but the season is 5 periods old. Pretty damn dumb to say that the coach has lost the team 5 periods into the season. I mean, maybe Lavi needs to go, but no team is going to fire their head coach after 2 games. They'd be a laughingstock, and rightfully so.

The Forwards are standing still at the other blueline. Cripes the peewee team I coached had a better system. The aren't ready for the start of games. The never know what they are doing on a faceoff. They have NO idea how to create chances at even strength.

No hitters. No skaters. No snipers. No passers. No frickin' hope.

Goodnight Homer. Goodnight Lavy. Goodnight Kimmo. Goodnight Coby. Goodnight Mesz. Goodnight mess.

Well if they continue to play this bad maybe Holmgren, Lavi and Snider will all suffer stress induced cardiac arrest....

I get what you're saying and you're right. If Homer was that intent on firing Laviolette this early he wouldn't even give him two games he probably would have done it before the season started if he was that willing.

In fairness, this team hasn't been ready to play at the start of games in about 5-6 years. It was the same issue when Stevens was the coach and Richards was the captain.

just delayed the inevitable
I was on the fence last season and was worried he lost the locker room. Now I really think that's the case. Sometimes a coach just gets stale and the players start tuning him out even if they are a good coach. Then Lavy makes questionable moves like keeping goons up when the 3rd line could desperately use some skill to create offense (get Talbot off the 3rd line please!).

this team doesn't do one thing even average. Maybe extend Lavy to show loyalty to him ???

Faceoff shouldn't have been in the zone after the puck in the net but it doesn't matter with this team.

Of course. Blocking a full on slapshot like that is a stupid, low percentage play. They scored anyway.

First time in a long time I've turned off a Flyers game before it's over.
