The complete turnaround of avs fans is what I find the most amusing "I don't care if Mackinnon was avoiding the hit Lovejoy is the devil!!!!" "It wasn't Downie's fault Josi was hunched over"

I find it funny how people are so easy to write off a team based on their previous year without looking at changes, eventually teams like Colorado are going to get good, and the good teams now will drop down till they restock their top players.

Nobody would have put Colorado at 2-0,
Calgary is doing pretty well, so is winnipeg.

That's why sample size is important. Any team can win games in this league. Any team. Two years ago the Oilers were near the top of the league the first month in. Where did they finish?

Winnipeg aside from their goaltending are legit. I predict they're going to make the playoffs this year. The rest comes down to sample size. If the Avs make the playoffs it will be in spite of their blueline. They're stacked up front but the D they have is the worst in the league. Calgary will be lucky not to finish last in the league.

My point being just cause a team was at the bottom doesnt mean they will again (montreal).

applicator hits a puckless Marchand from behind mid ice, with a nice leaping "accidental" (per detroit announcers) hit.

dirty much?

I wonder how he looked otherwise. 18 minutes is pretty respectable.

I love that time of the year when Oilers fans change from "omg our young stars are gonna make us a threat this year and this new coach will be perfect for them" to "**** all of this".

Sick goal from the Canucks on the PP. Always good to see the Oilers lose.

"Schultz turns it over, Kesler scores" is such awesome commentary.

Sens fans already complaining about Ryan's performance. No surprise to me.

I kind of feel sorry for Ottawa fans hoping Ryan reaches a superstar level/will be a two way player/physical, mainly as we were waiting for the same thing for years and it never happened. Hopefully for them the trade eventually lights a fire under Ryan.

Best case sceanrio for the Sens is he goes back to that 30/30 type player, don't think he'll be consistently better then that IMO. And tbh his last 2 seasons were pretty damn underwhelming compared to his stat lines.

I saw the 1st period of his debut. Cracked myself up when he had his trademark falling through the ice. He got a lot of PP time but wasn't really a factor there.

It's two games, and there's really no need to rub it in on their boards.

Schultz curse ?

Oh, and about Ryan. That's why I was glad we traded him. Looking at Silfverberg, he might become a better player than Ryan in a matter of 1-2 years. Plus, we got Noesen and a 1st. Looks like we will win this trade .

Maybe we should wait more than 2 games before declaring victory.

I'm just curious. If you guys had to choose between Yakupov and Galchenyuk to this team. Who would it be?

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. We know Ryan and he'll snap out of it & go on a scoring streak. For his sake I hope he gets to scoring soon.
