I know we like to bag on Pete for his lineup choices and hate the fact Harrold's in the lineup over Fayne on principle, but he hasn't been making mistakes. He's smallish and gets exposed over longer periods, but through two games he's been fine. He was promoted to the top pairing the other night for crying out loud.

The fact that Volchenkov gets to keep getting in the lineup to stink up the ice with no accountability is a joke.

I'm just shocked he didn't bench Larsson outright, although the other night was basically a benching.

Coaches typically keep winnning lineups in tact, not losing ones.

Pete should flip Fayne for Volchy and Josefson for Gionta.

With how many times we've lost to other backups over the years, including frickin POS Scott Clemmensen 5 times, I'm not sure.

I'd like to say ''It's a different lineup, so no''.

If Marty is the one that looks like a backup again, we're in for a long night.

We could lose to a QJMHL goalie on some nights.

I don't care if it's 7-6 or 1-0, just win in reg/OT for the 2 points before a SO.

How quickly you guys forget that we tend to make most backups look like Vezina candidates.

That said, mostly as a reverse jinx, I have a good feeling about tonight. The long road trip should benefit our guys tremendously in allowing them to connect and gain some more chemistry. I'm happy that we're going out west so early in the season.

Nah hes been ok imo. But he plays a game were you notice him alot. Both when he does something good and something bad.

Fayne is more steady and does the right play even if its no flashy like skating whit the puck.

Harrold has been average at best.

I don't care who PDB dresses on defense tonight as long as the constant bad pinches stop. Even Greene was doing it last game and he's the last guy we have to worry about.

If people think Harrold has been good at all, then the notion of Devils hockey might as well be dead.

Because the only two guys playing Devils hockey on the back-end are Sal and Greene.

Bad pinches, bad angles to the shooter, terrible wandering away from the slot.

The only thing I can think of positively are the few times that the d-men have pinched successfully and extended the possession. Which are far outnumbered by bad pinches anyway.

I'm guessing we will see some changes to the lineup tomorrow night. 2nd set of back to backs. Almost positive we will at least see Josefson.

The kid deserves a shot as he was probably our best preseason forward.

Harrold's been average.

Problem is Larsson and Volchenkov are getting torched several times a game. Add in Zidlicky being an adventure defensively, usually at least, and you aren't left with a whole lot.

Deboer really just trying his best to coach himself out of a job, huh? It's getting hard to defend him at this point.

Where is Fayne from so I know what jersey I should be expecting to see him in next year?

The Bruins are probably his local team. I think he's from Rhode Island, or maybe Massachusetts? I can't see him going to the Bruins, but I can see a team like the Flyers being interested for sure. We can't be bitter or mad at him for joining that team either, if he does.

I'm predicting this one is gonna be high scoring. We'll dominate possession against these weak turds, but they'll have some breakaways and capitalize on our lack of speed. I say we win 5-4. 3 of the 5 will be softies because LaBarbera is woeful.

Pete does make mind-numbingly dumb decisions and sticks to them like a stubborn mule, but he's a coach that you want over a marathon.

This is Game 3 and there are still 160 points on the table for this season. Everybody calm down.

And Lou too. Fayne went to Providence College and that's probably why I was thinking Rhode Island.
