Dec 7 vs. the Thrashers...I am coming down!

hey y'all....

it might just be me (my loser friends can't blow off work on a thursday....lame!) but anyone want to meet up for that game???

i don't have tix yet but am going to call the guy who hooked us up with that suite, so if anyone wants to sit together, let me know and i'll get more than one seat!

I wonder how many road games I'm going to have to attend before they let me ride in the Thrashers charter?

i also need to figure out the best way to go from the airport to the arena....taxi? bus? subway? (do y'all even have subways?)

I have my season tickets, but I'd meet ya for some wings and Andreychuk's.

We don't have subways...they'd be submarines. Your options are taxi or bus, or someone pick you up from the airport.

I doubt any of the hotels near the Forum have "deals".

the marriott might have an airport shuttle, so i'm gonna check that....i was going to try to stay at the same place as the guys, but they fly out after the game anyway so it doesn't matter. I know they'd really want to hang with me LOL

hey, ken, where are your season tix located? you want an obnoxious thrashers fan sitting nearby? lol

i arrive around 1 pm that day, so will be there in plenty of time to meet at Andreychuk's (if that's where we end up)

and, yes, the marriott does have an airport shuttle (for $11 each way)!! and what a bargain hotel, too! only $289/night!! I should stay all week!

Off topic a bit, but I'll be going down to see one of the Pitt games with a Pitt fan friend of mine. We're going to show up a few hours early and get tanked somewhere beforehand. Good times.

I forgot to mention that my seats are immediately in front of the visiting team's media box. If it's also being broadcast on Turner South, the Atlanta broadcasters are easily within hearing range. If not, that's where the visiting team's scratches sit for the game.

and I'll be at the embassy suites....not the marriott.....our equipment mgr told me they stay there

despite the outcome, I had a great time! LOL

Finally met gobolt7, which was worth the blowout.

Now it's y'all's turn to come to Atlanta, cuz we don't have any more games down there.

and yes, towards the end there (I think starting with y'all's 6th goal) I just gave up and cheered when y'all scored (holding up the "Believe in Blueland" sign, of course).
