Devils blowing it but still getting a point.

Oh, the injustice of the shootout culture.

???

They tied it in regulation, they would have got a point in the years before the shootout was introduced...

The bigger LOL is the Devils failing to sell out their season opener against a nearby divisional rival.

So pathetic.

According to what I see on ESPN, they are the only team to not sell out the building at their home opener thus far.

They really are pissed about the "You suck" chant being removed. It's weird.

Maybe not Yakupov, but closer towards the deadline I could see the NYR packaging Girardi/Del Zotto and Fast/Miller/Kreider for a legitimate top 6 forward.

That's why I hope Allen continues to progress and gets some tea time with the Rangers during the season.

I dont know. If they move Girardi or Del Zotto, its because 1 of them has made it clear they are not a long term answer, which would effect their trade value.

Sather has put himself in a rough spot considering 3/4's of the team are free agents this offseason - then again, a pragmatic/long-term approach to roster management has never been his MO.

LOVE to see NJ failing.

Now just watch them dump all stupid vet signings at the deadline for young assets and rebuild over one summer...

I am from NJ, so every hockey fan I know is a a devils dork. I love seeing them fail but this is pretty much going to happen. They might not get a full rebuild in the summer but the season after that I am sure they will be contending again. Hate it.

Adam Larsson is a healthy scratch tonight. Benching the next Lidstrom already?

Wow. How much worse can they treat this kid who was supposed to be the future of their defense?

Jersey can look forward to their first round pick in June which should be a high pick

Jersey is the only team in the NHL with an average age over 30. 30.3 to be exact.

Brunner is better than Parise and Kovalchuk combined, gonna be awesome playoffs brah. Just Jersey being Jersey.

Goal-a-game Brodeur puts the Devils in the hole ever time he plays. He's absolutely guaranteed to give up a minimum of one VERY soft goal. Does anyone in that organization have a working nutsack? Because someone needs to tell him to sit and wait for his 15 starts a year.

And Larsson? It's starting to smell like bust with that kid. At least they can start the rebuild with a very high draft pick...

Anyone here watch Adam Larsson a lot? Is this an issue of him not developing, poor asset management by the coach, ****** environment, etc? So many good things were said about Adam during his draft year, its a little surprising how things are coming along.

Let the kid play or send him down. Their not contenders this year anyway and by all accounts he's worked as hard as anyone this season.
