Not like the other top 6 are crushing it either. One guy who seems to be getting a pass by most is Simmonds. Looks terrible

So does Schenn. Lecavalier and Read have been performing well for what it's worth.

I just think it's much more important to get our big guns going rather then Schenn. It's not as if Schenn is standing out in a good way anyhow.

I'm giving Simmonds a pass so far because he's hustling everywhere and putting out max effort. I've seen enough of his cold streaks to know it'll eventually snap. At least, I hope it snaps.

Schenn hasn't shown anything at all; not that I've noticed.

Oh Schenn is not at all. But I dont see why you can't play Couturier or Schenn in the top 6. Those two won't stop Giroux or Voracek from performing well.

Schenn has been pretty bad also. And I do agree with Read and Vinny. Voracek, and Giroux have been poor and not just points wise. Can't give Simmonds too much of a pass because playing in the top 6, you need to do more than just hustle. Hoping coaching change and on a line with Giroux gets him going. He has got to play more simple. Turned it over ALOT so far.

Read and Lecavalier can't be moved if they're the only ones producing. We obviously literally need Giroux and Voracek to start producing so that leaves them out. That means the only two practical people to replace in the top six are Hartnell and Simmonds both of which are more vital to our offense and capable of more then Schenn and Couturier right now.

That's my point.

Time to end this....what a better way than with a new coach to the NHL...

Though I would like to make a trade, I think these lines would work

19 28 40
24 14 93
25 10 17
36 18 37/45

44 5
32 22
8 41

I really don't believe Hartnell should be on 1st line anymore but we really don't have a 1st line PF.

Just when I didn't think I could hate the Philly sports media more, they find a way.

Hey morons: if any of you are reading this (assuming you are capable), threatening to hamper charity is a terrible way to make a point.

Edit: They guy who complains about a lack of respect for the media is priceless. Maybe if they were respectable that wouldn't be an issue.

I like one of the comments - "Do they still yell out STOP THE PRESSES!"

I like those lines. If luke schenn on your second line that already has vinny and jake is enough to make you lose we are in deep ****. Schenn has a great potential that the coaches should be working to bring out. I'd give couturier pp time too. More than anything I'm looking to see the beginnings of a system here. D first that leads to offense.

The funniest thing in there was the mention of Panotch's wine bill. The rest is just pathetic and they need to stop acting like little princesses and grow up...

I don't mean to start a debate, but I hated Bro Hymn before and I certainly don't want it to come back.

Eh, I'm not sure about Read-Couturier-Voracek, and I don't think Couturier has done enough to warrent 2nd line over Schenn / Simmonds.

Wouldn't be surprised if we see Vinny with Giroux eventually, but I think that comes next year, when Schenn, Couturier, and Laughton are fighting for playing time.

Because he was playing with Couturier or Giroux so far. Thus drawing very tough competition

This is game one of a new season , looking forward to seeing the lads play hard, tough, physical Philly hockey and staying out of the penalty box while doing such..........If we can do that alone i think good things will come our way ! Good luck to coach Craig Barube in his Debut...............Drop the puck !
