On to Anaheim. Damn, 1-2 is a rough start.

Just saw Flyers fired Laviolette (I know where have I been)...

So... pretty much they fired him now so the Rangers couldn't scoop him up in the offseason amiright?

Can't complain with AV though.

My order for candidates (in general) last year, was:

1) Laviolette
2) Weight
3) Vigneault

Well, these late games are officially screwing with me. Every Tuesday I have dinner with my sister and her kids at her house. I was so tired when I was done with school today that, instead, I went home and didn't even realize what day of the week it was until about 15 minutes ago.

Are you trying to say that nullifies the Rangers stats against the Sharks? Because in my opinion, you're validating their success even more so.

I'm saying that the rangers record over 10 games that span nearly 12 years means nothing considering how much teams change in just a few years let alone more than a decade.

I'm saying that it doesn't matter who the opponent is, the Sharks are difficult to beat at home in general, really tough over the past two years, and nearly impossible since the last lockout.

Those were my points...

Its just an interesting stat is all. I'm aware the Sharks are a good team, especially at home. Thats what makes it so noteable. Thats all.

You're more then welcome to come here. but you'll find your reception won't be as warm if you put down our teams accomplishments and pump up your own, no matter how subtle.

Fact is, Rangers have played the Sharks hard over the years. We're coming off a very good win against a team that is arguably better then them and this is a new season, so no one cares about their record last season.

In other words.....they're still going to play the game and anything can happen. Even to the unbeatable Sharks in their tank....

I thought I was more than civil as a visitor. Someone presented stats. I presented what I believe are more relevant stats AND I explained myself.

I wasn't trying to pick a fight. If you're really that sensitive to hearing from an opponent about a team you guys likely haven't seen much of if any of in the past two years that's fine. I don't need idle threats, I'll just leave you guys to your yourselves

It just came off as a little defensive on your part because I wasn't trying to say anything about tonight's game with my post.

It was just shocking, actually for me to read that the Rangers have had that much success overall against the Sharks. Especially since 2001 because the Sharks have been a pretty good team the last 10-12 years.

I consider myself a pretty knowledgeable fan and it jumped off the page to me when I read it, so I decided to share it

I'd prefer a 1-0 or a 2-1 SO win.

LGR!

This game should be good to really see what this team is all about.

They need to come out strong just like last game.

They're supposed to be best friends. Played together during the lockouts and everything.

so I am cool with Asham on thee 4th line, they are going to have games where it gets rough. Fast should be down playing though. Powe gets crapped on but as a spare who cares.

Hopefully Richards has another good game
