G: Mason, definitely beyond good

U: The obviously uglier person behind Berube that Rinaldo was laughing at earlier.

At this point why not bring up Akeson to play first line RW?

At least him and G could complete some passes.

Send Rosehill down... to Antarctica.

I think the most exciting offensive zone play in that game was the final shift with Read and Couturier emulating Giroux in Boston.

G: Mason. A number other than 1 in the goal tally.
B: Just about everything else.
U: 5 minute PP.

Good: mason 10/10 couts Rinaldo and schenn all 8/10. Pk was excellent
Bad: pp was disgusting. It was like a game of hot potato
Ugly: I guess I'm the only guy who noticed it but Giroux was garbage most of the night. That 5 min penalty he was their best penalty killer

Good: Mason, Rinaldo, Read, B. Schenn looked better.

Bad: There is still a lot of bad... Passing is still not crisp, it is going to take a bit to get used to a new system I think. The Giroux line...

Ugly: Rosehill, and the powerplay... good lord was the PP bad.

One of the worst wins I've ever witnessed, and from a team that couldn't even sustain energy for an entire period with a new coach behind the bench.

Good: Mason was lights out. He's the starter moving forward, no question in my mind. He offers the athleticism that Emery can't bring. Schenn looked good, and he continues to get his name of the score sheet.

Bad: Giroux not only looks bad, but he's not even moving his feet. He's content to coast and lean rather than skate through pucks right now. That has to change if this team is going to have any success.

Ugly: Couturier is playing his way to the AHL. He either doesn't have the skating to play in any significant role, or he's being lazy. Way too much leaning on guys instead of skating through the play.

This team was two flaky goals away from being shutout. That's atrocious with the level of talent on the roster.

I'm not taking away from the win. Two points are two points, but this team has a long way to go before they can even consider themselves an average club at this point.

C'mon fat chicks need love too!

In all seriousness, Mason played awesome, but we still look bad. Hopefully with time the team will start to grasp Berube's system, With the way Mason is playing, he is keeping us in games. All of our D looked pretty bad IMO, especially Kimmo and Mez tonight.

Giroux has been garbage, I'm starting to think we overpaid on the new contract. Hartsy isn't a 1st liner. Talbot needs to bury it considering how many good chances he always seems to get.

Mez is lame, Masons a god, B.Schenns a god, Simmonds and Rinaldo work and Reads always reliable.

People we needed to step up are doing so and the people who have stepped up in the past have stopped.

Good: Mason. 2 gift goals by Thomas.
Bad: Spending too much time in our own zone and not enough time in the offensive zone.
Ugly: The powerplay.

Cause he got into the penalty box, then left the box to pick a fight. You're not allowed to do that

EDIT: Read the question wrong, he got the misconduct for leaving the box. He got the 4 mins for tackling someone. That is also no allowed.

Coturier had a good game. Playing his way to the AHL is nonsense.

I forgot to put Rosehill in my ugly list. He makes me want to change channels. He is lucky his 4 min hissy fit didn't cost the team the game. I don't see what newbury did last game to be pulled in favor of rosehill in the first place.

Lol. Apparently being an idiot is standing up for your team. He brings nothing except massive temper tantrums.

I will.

It's the least deserving win that I've ever witnessed and the same poor coaching decisions and poor play that was present before was present then. Meszaros still getting top ice-time, Rosehill still in the lineup, etc.

Only bright side, to me, is that it's too early to place a firm judgment on Berube, but those ice-time and lineup decisions aren't inspiring.

Last season should have taught us that winning also does nothing for the team if they don't make the playoffs aside from messing up draft position.
