Dumba's performance tonight just reinforced my feelings about him, not a fan he's going to need atleast 2 or 3 years. it's tough for a small defensemen to play his style in the NHL vs men.

He is kind of similar to Sami and Vatanen needed 3-4 years of development before possibly being ready, I'd much rather have Lindholm over Dumba going forward

I think we're going to see good things from Roy this season. The incoming freshman class is MUCH improved meaning Roy won't be only 1 of 2 people who can score on the team.

Highlights from the game (Roy slickness @:45-:55)

i'd call it a dishonorable mention, i honestly cannot believe there are enough people that think Pouliot and Dumba are better, or project to be better.

Theodore: I like the fact this kid scores alot of goals, he has a sick shot, this is a skill/talent for defensemen that can really translate to the pros, imagine having two bombs like Theodore and Vatanen out on the PP at the same time

I just hope Theo will improve defensively. And he should, since he`s the #1 defenseman in Seattle

I could see it with Dumba, as much as I disagree, because of the style he plays, but with Pouliot I can't see any rational argument and don't think many actually rate him that high. Rather, I think there's a writer or two with a great deal of Penguins bias that argues the loudest in those discussions. There's a reason they always have prospects ranked higher than they should, or why guys' rankings go up when they get acquired by Pittsburgh and vice versa.

Just because I'm a glutton for punishment, here's a (probably incomplete) list of guys from the 2012 draft who all place higher than Lindholm.

HF rank player draft
1 galchenyuk 3
3 yakupov 1
14 rielly 5
21 grigorenko 12
22 trouba 9
23 murray 2
24 vasilevski 19
31 hertl 17
32 reinhart 4
39 pouliot 8
41 dumba 7
43 forsberg 11

Looking at the comparables, it seems like he should be in the 25-35 range.

Yakupov, Trouba, and Galchenyuk I don't think you can really argue about. Those guys have shown more than Hampus to this point, not that Lindholm can't become better than them. Grigorenko, Murray, and Reilly is debatebale, although I take Lindholm over Murray and Reilly based on the little I've seen of those two. Lindholm is better than Dumba, and I don't think it's that close. Pouliot being ahead of him is really just a joke

Between all these issues (including Vasilevski 21 spots ahead of Gibson...), the list is just a mess. It reeks of too many cooks spoiling the broth, with many individual staffers each getting a certain number of "shots" in and ending up with that, without anyone looking at consistencies.

Econ? What happened to underwater basket weaving? Or it's modern equivalent "sociology."

Hahaha. I took sociology online. Joke of a course. Aced it without any trouble and I can't say I studied more than a total of 3 hours for that class. Communications 102 on the flip side is equally useless, but my professor thought she was teaching it at Harvard based on her overly difficult, damn near impossible tests. Like it's an entry level course. Tone it down lady.

I got 100% in online traffic school a couple of weeks ago. Does that count for anything?

Not only Theodore have started strong. Helgesen scored a goal last night and even though he was -2 in the game, he have 1+6 (7p) in 6 games and +5 for the season so far.
For comparison, he had 20 points last season. In 70 games.

Offense isn`t his primary element but it`s nice to see him putting up some points. He`s still 19 so there might be still some potential left with him (i really thought he was 20 already last year).
Looking forward to see him next year in Norfolk.

He recently had a fighting major. Not very good, but Ramsay is also a fighter and little bit older, however, is much smaller

Helgesen was more than I expected in the rookie games. He was not at all great (made that horrible turnover on one of the Kings goals) but from the scouting reports I read I expected an absolute plug out there, he was more mobile than I thought he would be too.

45 seconds into the season...Roy with a goal. Singlehandedly off a faceoff.
