Zharkov - 6'4 - 208 3 seasons
Yakimov - 6'5 - 202 2-3 seasons
Moroz - 6'2 - 211 2-3 seasons

Nurse - 6'3 - 192 - Could play now.
Klefbom - 6'3 - 213 - 1 season
Marincin - 6'4 - 188 - Could play now.
Gernat - 6'3 - 197 3 seasons.

And these guys aren't scrubs, they're legit prospects likely to make the team.
That's how far off I see them from being NHL ready.

I don't think he was claiming that they are all literally first lines, just that the lines are so balanced that you might as well call them "potential first lines" given on a who's hot basis (right now the "third line" of McGinn-MacKinnon-Parenteau is hot), nomsayin?

I'd take the Avs forwards any day.

The two-way play is the big difference here.

I know it's still early, but so far the results speak for themselves.....

I already see things out of MacKinnon that I haven't seen out of The Nuge. Him, combined with Landeskog, Duchene, Stastny and O'Reilly is a powerful nucleus to build around. Then you bring in Parenteau who I've always liked and Tanguay who's a real pro - and the balance has shifted to Colorado IMO.

Perron<Parenteau

Might just be a homer but Colorado. I feel like they can score at will with any of their four lines.

Very balanced, strong offensively and defensively, with physicality, speed and skill.

I'd take the Avs group.
Basically how I feel.

The Avs just have a serious solid mix of everything great. While the Oilers forwards have talent, they are not as tough, defensive or well mixed. The Oilers just have a handful of great guys that are all similar. They don't mesh as well as the Avs forwards do. Avs forwards have speed, talent, defense and can be tough.

I'd pick the Avs.

Honestly, I didn't think it was that much of a question. I feel like it's Colorado by a fair amount.

Oilers. Don't forget the Perron addition.

Even as an Oilers fan, this is Colorado quite easily until something changes.

Switch some of these comparables such as pairing hall with duchene instead and Colorado could arguably come out as the > in each column.

Hall=Duchene
RNH<Mackinnon
Yakupov<Landeskog
Eberle=ROR
Gagner<Statsny
Hemsky<Tanguay
Perron<Parenteau

I still prefer the Avs (homer). But I really hope that these 2 teams put it together and have some amazing playoff battles in the near future.

i really think its too early to tell to be honest. I do think avs have the edge right now in regards to the points already made (eg. their balance) but I think the oilers could have more potential in the offensive production. Additionally I think players like Yakupov could develop their defensive game. he's already a physical player too.

Like I said, Avs still have the edge today but I don't think its a huge edge given how young the players are. Anything could happen in the next 5-10 years.

Keep in mind that the Avs lineup was probably not as comparable just a few months ago before Mackinnon was drafted. Even a year from now anything can happen. One of the players can get injured. One of the teams could draft #1 overall (unlikely but possible), and the makeup of the forward lineup changes drastically again.

Results? Avs won three in a row.

Whoopy ****ing doo.

What results have the Avs posted? By being slightly better than the Oilers? I mean is that cause for recognition, cause lately that hasn't been that hard to do.

Do you know what "two-way" play means?

The Avs have played better defensively. Also, I said I know it's early. I'm just going on what has happened so far this season. Relax buddy lol.

I'm relaxed but it's so dumb to say results show for themselves

Make it sound like you guys actually won something meaningful recently.

How is it dumb?

I answered the question and based of what I have seen this so far this year, while saying that I know it's still early.

Not really sure what you're talking about....
