Dane Byers

Hi guys, I was just wondering, what are the chances that Byers gets called up this year for a game or two? I went to high school with him, and although I wasn't the best of friends with him, it would still be nice to see him play, sorry if this has been brought up or already discussed, thanks.

He's tough and he has talent, but he still needs some work. I think you'd have a better chance at seeing Korpikoski with the Rangers, and even that's a stretch...

No one thought Callahan would be the first to get called up, at least now if u perform well on the Wolfpack, u will get called up even if ur a prospect. At least they did not call up Lessard or some AHL/NHL fringe 4th liner. Would Dane Byres or Francis Lessard be a upgrade over Orr???

Byers is a pleasant surprise. If he keeps going as he has the Rangers might call him up as a reward. He might see nothing more than practice, but you never know.

He has been a surprise. At this rate, he will warrant one game, in which he will recieve 36 seconds of ice time. In about another 2 years.

I bet the new draftable players are praying that they dont get drafted by the Rangers. I bet they would prolly rather not get drafted and wait and sign as a ufa a few years later with a team like the kings or canucks or panthers

I'm a bit more hopeful. We'll see.

Actually Byers chances at making the 4th line may be better than Dawes chances of making the 2nd. The Rangers seem more apt to break players in on the bottom lines and put more obstacles in the way of the top lines.

Just curious:

Why and how do you consider yourself a Rangers fan? You seem to like our 4th line RW every year, but hate everything else associated with this organization.

Are there any other teams that you actually encourage and stand behind?
