I just finished watching the Leafs Avs game and man can Morgan Rielly skate. I'd seen him zipping round the ice in juniors but even in the NHL he's the fastest guy out there when he has enough room to move freely. His acceleration is on another level. Duchene was another guy who was really impressive, I think he's going to have a big year.

Perhaps why RC isn't as high on Gardiner anymore? Doesn't want 2 young guys manning the blueline?

Yeah I'm not sure. Gardiner was manhandled physically a few times by Landeskog and was iffy in his own end but the majority of the time he's good at skating the puck out of his own end. Had a few scoring chances too but he's far too up and down at this point in his career.

One thing I noticed is that as fast as Gardiner is, Rielly was IMO noticeably faster when given the opportunity to skate. He didn't skate with the puck nearly as much as Gardiner though. He's yet another one of those too good for juniors but could use more AHL time guys though. Playing 25 minutes a night in the AHL would be far more beneficial to him compared with playing 13-17 in the NHL.

Looks like Nash could be out. Their offense isn't looking particularly sharp atm.

That and we have a home opener. Seems like a typical Ducks loss

Just watch the Rangers rebounding from their embarassing loss against San Jose and beat us 6-0.

Yes. If we're lucky, they will be a big bag of suck.

In three games, all I've seen so far of Ryan is that he takes dumb penalties and is really ****ing slow. I want Silfverberg back, at least he could hit the net.

He's a good guy though, so it's all good.

He'll be a Flyer in 2 years...I wouldn't sweat it.

I think Bobby will get it going. He's a good player, once the chemistry is built the goals will come.

That's not happening. Ekblad is going top 2. The Sens are playing without Spezza today. They'll most likely make the playoffs (or just miss). The 1st round pick will be somewhere from 14-22 most likely.

We'll still finish 7th-8th lol. Brutal road trip to start, plus we suck on the west coast. I dunno, I'd be surprised if the sens finished low. If Spezza could stop pulling his groin you guys might even get a mid 20's pick. Sigh

.... how does Ryan for Silfverberg + Ottawa 1st sound? You can keep Noesen nah but seriously I know next to nothing about any player from western teams. Hopefully Ryan develops chemistry with Spezza. It'll just take a while to mesh, plus te whole team's looked rusty.. Anyway I'm going to sleep. 11:30 here and I'm tired. Good night ducks fans.
