I would rather have Carboneau than Therien right now. Hell even Jacques Martin would be better. Yes I said that.

I mean, I'm always amazed at the bashing this guy gets, no matter how some other players might be playing just as bad. Bourque was quite something to see tonight... Not for the good reasons.

If Eller was benched at the start of the last season, I can't see why Desharnais wouldn't this season. Bournival in, Prust in the top 9, Brière at center.

Bouillon didn't knew what to do at the end of the game, that looked bad, but I can't blame him. He shouldn't play it that situation and he played too much during the game for an aging vet with limited skills like him.

Lots of people are. Thing is MT is so in love with both he can't see how horrendous they are. I'm not liking Diaz much either and can't say I'd miss any of DD, Bouillon, or Diaz if they were all off this team.

By the same token, some people here want to coddle Subban to an insane degree. No coach in the world would have given Subban a pass for that penalty, regardless of what he did in the 58 minutes prior to it.

I'm actually surprised Therrien wasn't more harsh, if that's all he said.

He's the easy target. They don't want to ripoff Bouillon and DD because they are buddy buddy with them.

At least Bourque had good games in the last 25 games he played for the Habs, that's the difference.

Who was that at the end of the game that tried really hard to give Calgary a chance at scoring on the empty net?

I think what he agreed with PK was on the fact he took a dumb untimely penalty, not that PK was the reason for the loss.

You can't bench DD yet.
Might as well bench him if you're going to play him on a fourth line...

No.

A leader takes responsibility for when he screwed up. Subban DID screwed up at the end. He could have been the hero of a GREAT comeback, but let his emotion drop the ball.

Subban will grow out of this experience, and he will never be a leader if he underplay his bonehead moves. Therrien is playing it hard on him because he wants the rest of the team to look up to Subban's character

Indeed, it is harsh. Because you know what? The lost was in fact all on MT's fault. Stop playing ****ing Bouillon for so many minutes. What about Desharnais?

These kind of things make a team lose a hockey game. Learn to coach a hockey team, ffs.

Gally--Eller--Gally2
Moen---White---Prust
That would be nice but will never happen.......

I hope he was equally harsh with every other player who hit the ice today, as they were all worse than Subban with the possible exceptions of Price, Eller, Markov, and Gallagher.

Now I remember why I never wanted Therrien back as a coach. The Montreal Canadiens, the only freaking organization in the entire world where the language a player speaks matters.

I'm actually pretty sure he just apologized for his penalty and said it was unnecessary and it cost them a chance to win.

Then Michel said he agreed.

Really not that harsh....

Some of you guys are worst than the media...

Not harsh at all. That's very good, in fact. You guys see it in the eyes of the player. See it as if you were the coach. I like it. PK will be captain. And they are grooming him to be one heck of a captain.

If Sakic took a dumb untimely penalty, and it happened before, does he need the coach to lash out at him? PK is not Sakic, but the point is, sometimes the player knows what he did and doesn't need to be criticized publicly harshly.
PK knows what he did. Not screaming about it to the media like a dumbass doesn't mean you're coddling him.
