Meckler's the guy whose hand was broken last year, right? That update is promising...the Kings might have a steal on their hands.

Great article Dave.......let's hope 1/2 of these guys turn into good NHLers and the Kings will end this decade on a good note.

Meckler is having a good season here in London. In 25 games he has 16 goals with 14 assists.
Lewis has 14 goals, 22 assists in 26 games.
We have 2 rookies on the Knights that are leading the scoring in the OHL. They are fun to watch. Good skaters and play makers. Watch for them down the road.
Patrick Kane (age 18) 25 games 20 goals 34 assists 54points
Sam Gagner (age 17) 23 games 14 goals 43 assists 57 points

It'd be nice if the Kings could land either of them on draft day next June. Gagner would be particularly nice and, according to recent draft previews, might be available in the #5-8 draft slot, around where the Kings may end up picking.

I am so pumped for Bernier. I hope this kid walks into the WJC and runs the show for Canada.

I am also excited for Joe Ryan. I love the big mean dmen that will knock some heads. Does anyone know a good comparison for this kid? From what I have heard, maybe a little bit of Brendan Witt.

I would do the Lewis/O'Sullivan for Demitra trade again in a heartbeat.

I talked to a scout who said that atleast 3, maybe 4, teams had Lewis going in the 1st rd.

However I don't think he just missed out on being picked for the OHL/Russia series.
From what I recall these games help the Canadian brass pick players for the WJC camp. Lewis is American.

At draft day, he was compared to Adam Foote.

While reading that article it would be nice to watch the WJC's and see that the Goaltender for Team Canada is a Kings Draft Choice. That will be fun to watch.

Meckler created a turnover and ended up scoring his 17th goal from a nice feed from Kostitsyn. Knights are leading the Owen Sound Attack 2-1 mid way in the 2nd period.

Nice....thanks for the update. I thought Meckler looked pretty good in rookie camp.

Don't forget about Zatkoff. He is a having a great year and he could be the starter for USA in the WJC's.

Wiggle your toes in the unrestricted bliss. Check out Dylan's latest. Download iTunes. But your first purchase must not be the new Sting offering. I suggest Axis: Bold As Love
