Thornton and Burns out of frustration from his nonexistant scoring, costly giveaways and general lack of hockey iq and physicality kick him off of the team using some sweet dropkicks around game 78 around 15:32 of the 3rd period all to thunderous applause from the crowd and both benches. Adam Burish is then added to their line and scores a hattrick every game and wins the Conn Smythe.
I cant believe people are still saying 15 or so goals. He is less than 10 away from that total with 79 games left and is playing on a line with Brent Burns and Joe Thornton. He is also looking very good, even outside of the goals.
I'm not saying he's going to score 50, but 15 seems a little low now.
It's funny that fall back to earth is even an option - that should just be an assumption. There is no possible way he maintains a 2 goals per game pace.
That being said, we don't know what "earth" constitutes for this kid yet, so it's hard to say just how hard he's going to fall. He could be anywhere from a 20 point player to a 60 point player, so while he will slow down, it's strictly a matter of where he's going to land at this point.
