calgary is one of the fastest growing richest oil cities in canada

My girlfriend and I are planning on making a trip to Phoenix to see the CBJ/Coyotes game Feb. 20th. Can't wait to see the new arena!!

After watching the CBJ beat the Desert Dogs , we're heading on to Vegas

There will not be any more contraction.Maybe relocation, but that is very doubtful either.I wouldn't want any teams contracted.I like the people that like to see other teams contracted but when someone mentions their team they go ballistic.By the way, with Buffalo's billionaire owner and a 7 year old arena, Buffalo's in pretty good shape now.

Ya, I agree with that. For all the conjecture and contraction/relocation talk, I think in the end neither will occur (the latter primarily because none of the options mentioned - Portland, Q City, Houston, Seattle, Winnipeg - are, when all is said and done, better markets).

Another thing. Where did the Devils hold their Stanley Cup parade...or did they? The NY Giants, they are not. No city in New Jersey bothers to lay claim to the Devils. They should have just held it in Manhatten where the majority of their fans are!

Duh-lete.....I think I hear dueling banjos coming from some hick town called Winnipeg...HMM...we have the Stanley Cup champions and you have the cold, cold, bitter taste of no team. Keep rooting for JR teams..that's cute.

Get your facts straight!

Winnipeg doesn't even have a major junior team to support!

But it's a hockey town!

The only team that needs to contract is Anaheim.

those are my choices

I COULD SELECT 4

i CHOOSE TEAMS THAT DIDNT HAVE GREAT ATTENDENCE or wealth
figures a Leaf fan would want to eliminate the Isles...

In my dreams i would contract:

Pittsburgh
Carolina

Contracting 6 teams is a lost cause. It'll never happen. Hell, contracting one team will never happen.

Look at the Montreal Expos, the worst franchise in the world and baseball can't contract them. Players Unions are too powerful.

Yeah, it's useless to contract 6 teams.. it would kill the NHL more than it's being killed right now. Wait for a new CBA to come.. then see what's happening.
