I agree and Bournival is making the difference on that line. It's day and night compared to White.

Meh.
I agree. Budaj, Galchenyuk and Gallagher were good, I thought everyone else was meh. It was a battle of who wouldn't suck more. Edmonton won in that department, they are awful. I would have been really disappointed if the Habs lost to this team.

Bournival needs to stay in the lineup. He brings so much more to the club than White. I'd be curious to see Bournival get DD's minutes and see how he would do on a 3rd line. He would probably get plenty of scoring chances.

No, White should be in. Habs were meant to be tougher this season, and that lineup isnt proof of this.

I hope being the point leader in the NHL will solidify Galchenyuk as a first liner in the view or the organisation...

I mean, come on. He's ready for it. Franchise Player. Our first forward one since Lafleur.

We have potentially a franchise goalie in Price, a franchise defenseman in Subban and a franchise forward in Galchenyuk.

Thank Rocket the cap is going up and the team prints money. EX-PEN-SIVE.

You know what would be interesting, though, is if DD was sat down and White was inserted between Bourque and Gionta (to leave Moen-Bournival-Prust together).

The problem is the other lines are just not clicking. With time, maybe Eller and patches will develop chemistry (they had a couple of good shifts). We need more than one line!

Galchenyuk is developing...i like it. MT might be doing the right thing but why break the egg line? You dont break good combinations or something that works.

Oiler fan here:

Gotta be honest, it's pretty tough to say but there's no doubt in my mind now that right now Galchenyuk is better than Yakupov. He looks like a 25 year old out there.

Beaulieu cant play at this level yet. Do you guys think we should call up Pateryn/Nygren? Maybe check if theres some Ds available around the league? We can't play with 4 Ds forever.

Hope Eller either rejoins the Gallys or at least has top6 minutes.

DD was surprisingly good, but thats because MT used him appropriately by sheltering him the right way.

Im blown away with how impressive Galchenyuk was defensively. Hes really having an excellent development curve.

Gallagher is simply a fantastic winger who i think has a high ceiling, mainly because while he isn't an elite talent, he can play at a high pace and can be a solid target for passing plays. Not to mention his mobility and motor just make him so dangerous.

Budaj was great. Bring on Vancouver.

Not a 4th line player. The 4th line needs a White. If you want Bournival, just have him replace DD.

I do feel sorry for Bourque though.

58% FO.

He's definitely not rebounding how I hoped he would, but he wasn't "bad" tonight. Just mediocre. Obviously, that's not good enough though. But there were a few positives to his game tonight, unlike the first 2 1/2 games.
There job is to produce. If they aren't, they are hurting the team

They were trying to figure each other out. They missed passes and got crossed up on some routine plays. They weren't bad. I think there's potentially a very good line there. There's a lot of power on the ice with Eller and Pacioretty.

Believe it or not, I think Bournival would excel with the kids.

His speed is second to none on this team. He might not do as good as Eller, but if MT wants to split the lineup up somewhat, Bournival would look good there. Defensively responsible, fast as hell, can keep up with them, and he is pretty smart. Lots of tenacity too.

Plekanec is awesome and I love him, but he doesn't have the jump in his step to keep up with them, I don't think.

Great effort in the 2nd and 3rd period.

That galchenyuk kids sure looks good.

Eller didn't have a great game but his line did have some nice scoring chances. Briere and Paciorretty looked a lot better with Eller than with Desharnais. I think it's a good thing they got split up we need more than one line working.

Subban is proving that his Norris is not a fluke. Playing like a freakin demon on both sides of the ice.

lots of talent there but they could use one or two top prospects that are straight up and down like a patches

Eller had 20min TOI. Holy **** Therrien finally understands!

Despite all their (truly) awesome young players, there isn't a guy on the Oilers I would trade Galchenyuk for. He'll be a top5 forward in the NHL, you can mark my words!

For all the moaning and *****ing going on here, we have a really good core coming up with Subban, Galchenyuk, Gallagher, Eller, Tinordi, Brolieu and Price (if he can start play to his potential again)

They have too much of the same. Very, very talented guys but all similar. I have no idea why they acquired Perron for instance, who's a pretty good player himself but doesn't bring anything new to their squad. In a way they are paying for poor drafting outside first round top picks. 2nd, 3rd and later round picks can become very well rounded and useful players when you can find them, guys that don't rely only on insane natural talent. Still I'm not worried for them, but they really need to find a defense and better support players. And get rid of Smyth.

OK, Subban and the kids are taking over now. It's obvious. The vets may like it or not, but it's happening.

Not if we are winning and they are playing well defensively. Obviously, like I said it's not good enough and even I'm starting to get fed up with Desharnais. But they weren't "awful."

I would let him play, just so I don't have to read and listen to any Price whining for a while.
