Who will score the Flames' first in the game tonight?

My money is on Monahan, but that's the obvious choice. I'm thinking Wideman gets in on the act.

Brodeur is my favorite but I find it too close to rank them, you could put those three in any order and have a good argument about it. The way I look at it:

Hasek - Highest peak in a career.
Roy - Best playoff goaltender of all time.
Broduer - Best all around career, most consistent.

Thats how I define them anyway.

The Vezina isn't the perfect measuring stick but there is a reason Hasek has has more than both and his peak was 10ish years long its not like it was only a couple of years.

I'm excited for Friday night hockey, even though I should be in the books.

Go Flames!

BTW, Brodeur has a slight edge over Hasek and Roy for me, mostly because Brodeur STILL puts on a clinic.

Wasn't Hasek still trying to play last year?

He tried for a comeback, don't think he was good enough anymore though. That would have been something to see him back at 47 though.

This one will be the toughest game for the Flames. Jersey is coming off a lot of losses and will be very hungry for a win. The Flames, on the other hand, are beat up pretty bad from a solid start to the season and are (regrettably) due for lackluster performance, just knowing the Flames and their history

I'm not sure I'll bet on tonight's game

Losing Jones looks like a HUGE loss to us. Not a lot of players driving the net anymore.

First time we're not completely the underdogs. That said, Jersey's a great team. 3 2 flames

Great to see the Mony line as our second line. This could be a big test to see if they keep him up or send him back down.... oh who am I kidding, it seems very unlikely they will send him down.

Moss was good but too many injuries. Also I can't believe he ever touched the top line, second line tweener at best on a team with poor forward depth.

For me its Roy, Hasek and then Marty. I've never seen a goalie more impactful than Roy, just my opinion.

This should be a close one, Flames win 3-2?

Jags and Marty's last game in Calgary, let's give them a game they won't forget and not in a good way.

Should be a good game. Sadly it's probably the last time Marty plays in Calgary.

Excited that Bear and Seanahan are finally playing on the second line. This is where they belong, and I think we're going to see some sick skill out of those two (Baertschi in particular) tonight.

Come on Flames!

I used to always go to games against the Devils as Stevens + Brodeur were my 2 favorite players growing up.

In terms of who's better Roy was so effective with the butterfly style that no goalie breaking into the league can go without it. Taught every level everywhere because it is so effective.

On the flip-side Broduer is the only goalie now that doesn't use it and he out-dueled guys in the dead puck era (beat out super pad Giguere to win a cup). To top that off he was so effective at handling the puck the Devils trap was impossible to dump against for years and the NHL put in the dumbest rule to stop it.

both really changed the game I'd take Brodeur over Roy but I'm biased

All this Marty talk simply reminds me of how he was drafted with a Flames 1st round pick while we traded up to get Kidd.
