Well they look better as a team defensively. They don't look frantic in their own zone.

More offensive pressure is a step forward. I'll take it.

Couturier's line was steadily best...Lecav's had bursts.

Does Giroux have linemates?

Can't say I've seen anything I hate from the D.

I just want to know what it feels like to score 3 or more goals again.

At least they look better than they have in this period, lucky bounce on the goal

It's nice to see all three forwards hanging back and helping the whole team move up as a unit.

Good start and good period overall. That was an unfortunate goal, but it's nice to not see them trading chances and running around with their heads cut off. They still need to shoot more; Giroux has zero confidence at the moment.

I'm going to say Flyers score 3 this period.

Unlucky goal to give up.

Playing better as a team, more support on the puck and seems like there is a lot more communicating on the ice.

I'd like to see some more mobility on the back end, get Gustafsson in somewhere. Often times our dmen are too immobile during broken plays, leaving us with lesser chance of controlling the puck.

Oh, and Voracek is brutal imo.

The team is just struggling at offense. If Giroux gett going I believe the team will follow.

He must be paid by Phoenix. He already checked Couturier for a turnover, then at our blue line, with the puck clear, he gently eased it back into the zone for an awful turnover, fell over Couturier, and Phoenix got a shot.

Guy needs to be on the 4th line. I'm really, really struggling to believe Gagne would have been a worse option.

Nobody has yet to really stand out on the first line. Although I do see signs of Giroux coming on. The hard work and pesky play is picking up.

We have almost as many shots as LA and the Carolina Red Wings in their 1st period combined (8+9)

When Simmer was doing things right Hartnell ruined everything. When Hartnell did things right Simmonds ruined everything. Occasionally both would just be ruiners.
