At some point given that goalies are on average alot taller than the 90s, make the nets 5" bigger.
Large pads and the butterfly style can really help cover the gap in skill. Last I checked there tends to be much less of a gap between the best goalies in the league and the average goalies, much less the bad goalies. Shrinking pad sizes should help talent become even more important. I'm down with that.

Mason got burned on a five hole goal a couple of games ago, not sure if the pads would've stopped it, but makes you wonder if he should've adjusted.

Totally agree. Anytime the Flyers play Buffalo I pray that Rinaldo or Rosehill get a hold of him and pound his turd face in.

He definitely isn't guilty of taking anything performance enhancing.

One team that is really bad last night watching is the Nashville Predators. They have literally no offense. It's been a problem the last few years, and they haven't done anything to fix it yet. They are as bad as us right now, but we have the skill level up front to start popping pucks in the net, Nashville is pretty hopeless when it comes to scoring.

Seriously the guy is so inconsistent, what I gathered from Edler's hit is that it's ok to skate with your head down.

Nashville can't attract top end free agents and they haven't been tankers, so they don't benefit from years of top 3 picks.

They may find themselves bottom dwellers pretty quickly, though.

Which runs counter to the non-suspensions where the hitting player couldn't help the hittee having his head down. Precedent clearly has no bearing.

Filip Forsberg for Erat was a step in the right direction though.

Remember that scene in Slapshot where the GM is talking about a guy having too much fun with himself in the box.

Here's the Kaleta headshot in a gif. It seems pretty clear to me but who knows with Shanny?

So you're saying the Flyers should have held onto Bryzgalov.

Eh... I was even surprised that Edler had to face a hearing. Now 3 matches out? I don't understand Shanny.

Good news is Jeff Zatkoff sucks. Panthers up 4-2 over Pens.

You guys don't have a trade proposal thread that's so weird, man being a Leaf fan is wonky we have our own trade proposal thread but its like barely anyone uses it they just go on the front page and spam ****.

Anyway I hope this is cool but I was wanting to know what's Philly's plan with Couturier? Will they just slot him in 3C or is he trade bait waiting to happen? Is there a possible package Toronto-Philly could do? Reluctant to send out Gardiner but maybe Franson + Finn + Pick? Franson's an RFA at year-end and is a staedy two-way defender that owns a booming shot. Sorry if this not welcome in the Hockey Talk thread. ;;

I hated him when he was in Manchester. Once he gave up one bad goal he was toast.

I'm watching the Boston/Columbus game on NESN. I don't know if NESN talked to Jack Edwards about the way he called games, but he gets better every year.

Myself from three years ago would punch me in the balls for saying that.
