Yeah the game is on Yahoo, but only available in the US I think. Make sure your Yahoo profile says you live in the US, but not in the NYC area and you should be able to get it.

Well, we all know how great a clutch team the Rangers are. If it's on the line, expect to be disappointed.

I am really excited for this game! It should be great, although I am worried about the Isles being exhausted after the game they played last night. But this is the Rangers so Nolan should have them ready.

Here's to a hard fought CLEAN game!!

Good luck the rest of the season guys!

Kristie
Definitly, best of luck

LETS GO RANGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!! They need to skate from min 1 to 60, if they do that work hard and play smart these points should belong to the Rangers. Lets see which team shows up, the team who played disiplined hockey against the Sabres, or the team that loves to take a billion penalty's against the Pens. LETS GO RANGERS

For what it's worth:

Straka, a former Islander, has seven goals and 12 points in his last six games. Coach Tom Renney said Straka should play in this contest despite tweaking a hamstring that kept him off the ice for Friday's overtime and shootout

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/score.../NHL705387.htm

I'll be watching the Giants and taping the Rangers-Isles game.

It's a matter of respect. I feel an obligation to go to funerals.

I'm sure the Rangers realize that the Islanders are no pushover team. They attack the zone well and actually are similar to the Rangers in the way their lower lines pressure the puck (when they are on).

I think this is a skating game and i believe the team that starts winning the little battles more often early in this game will come out the winners. Being that the Islanders played a game last night and this one today is at 5, you would THINK th Rangers have the advantage, but thats not always the case.

They need to take the initiative in this game from the start especially because they are in MSG and the fact that this is the first game of the season series. Huge game. I'll trade all those OTL's vs. Buffalo for a domination vs. the Islanders but i think itll be a closer series record this year between the two.

let's do it!

Pumped up baby! Big division game for first place and our first meeting against our biggest rivals. Let's see the true rivalry tonight...bad blood, big goals, lots of emotion!

I will be at this game. Heading to MSG right now, in fact. Got an hour train ride from PA to NY. I have everything I need. My NYR blue shirt that I got from the 2nd intermission shootout at the 1st Pittsburgh/Rangers game, signed Lundqvist jersey and some extra cash. I can't wait to go to this game. It all determines 1st place which is special indeed.

Heres to a good game!
Im hoping its not a blowout on either end. With all thats at stake, this should be a nice close, edge of seat type game.

If Straka doesnt go...

I would hope they throw out Cullen on the PP first unit in his place.

Maybe a laser from the point that hits twine jumps starts his offense a little.

Thats not a bad idea, but from what I have read on NYR.com and Sams blog it looks like he(Straka) is fine. But who knows he might be a game time decision. Does anyone know if J.Ward is going to be dressed or is Callahan getting the nod for another 3mins tonight? (semi )

Can't wait. I'm heading to Stout a little early to catch the start of the Giants game and then it's off to the Garden. To the Isles fans reading this, good luck (but not too good ) it should be a hell of a game.

LETS GO RANGERS!!!

Definitely watching this afternoon game. Giants game doesnt look too promising tonight...

Besides. We have an awesome battle for first. And going into December/January is when it really heats up.

Islanders beat a nonexistent Pittsburgh last night. But Pitts was also playing back-to-back and suffered a massive loss to the Devs. And the Gortons are missing Yashin. But the Rangers are missing Straka and Ward.

So... its going to be fun watching the two teams dig into each other...

Lets go Rangers, hopefully a good clean game with good hits and a fight or 2. hopefully since this a rivalary game, maybe the refs hopefully will let them play and call weak penalties. If its a penalty they should call it but not the weak ones. I Callahan plays again. I predict 4-2 Rangers win. goals by Jagr, Shanny, Straka and Prucha. Callahan first NHL point. Goals for Islanders, Blake and Hunter
