You start worrying about peripheral vision when players are getting around/behind Staal before he's noticing.

Sather has to deal with some passengers on this team. I can see where AV wants this team to be. But, guys like Boyle are just not going to fit...
This is exactly how I feel. Well said

Also a "moral victory" is laughable here

this would bring the Rangers to 1-4

can't have moral victories, have to start actually logging points

Good news is that we look much better than the score sheet says, although we're loosing, I actually think that, goal tending aside, we've played very well. It's the goals that count, and I'm not happy for that reason, but I think we're MUCH improved. Plenty of positives to take away from tonight, even if it is a loss(and I'm not writing it off yet...)

I'm not sure I agree. That deflection on goal 4 was damn good

Playing Biron was an automatic loss.

Fast has offensive talent. Let's pair him with two pylons. That's the rangers mindset in summation.

3 goals on 5 shots that period. Unacceptable.

At this point in the season and after the two mail ins as well as the opponent I'll take the moral victory.

Most coaches are afraid of giving rookies responsibilities.

Biron just gave up 3 goal on 5 shots.

I wonder if Bryz wants to be a backup again....

lets not focus on the score. they are actually playing hockey. that is already better than the last 2 games. this game its the goalies fault. the past two the defense completely left hank out to dry.

I would do it. At this point the only thing to be afraid of is have 34 goals for and 892 goals against by the end of the season.

Both Biron and Lundqvist have been struggling every single game except LA. I refuse to blame this on the goalies. Something is wrong with the defensive part of AV's stupid ****ing system...

Another thing. We need to trade or scratch one of Puliout/Pyatt. Having both of them is redundant. They play exactly the same game. Soft and slow. I mistake them for eachother all the time. Id lean towards moving Pyatt out and keeping Pouliot if given the choice.

When that rookie actually shows something you play them more minutes and give them more responsibility. Fast has made some things happen things happen this game. Put him with our "offensive" players.

This is a very winnable game with Lundqvist in net. The skaters as a whole have looked much better this game.

Staal wasnt at fault on the last goal. It was Fast's man. You can clearly see Staal communicating that he was covering the trailer near Oshie.

Fast never backchecked. Plus, Boyle "Selke" Boyle was nowhere to be found because hes too slow in transition.

Transition and Coverage is killing this team. When Lundqvist is Lundqvist, it wont be an issue.

Gary gifted the Pens a fruitcake schedule to start the season, and naturally, theyre steamrolling through all the turds. The Rangers will be 10 points out of first place by the time they open at home.

Can I point out that the Rangers held the Blues to 5 shots that period.

20 minutes. FIVE SHOTS.

Biron couldn't even save HALF of them. 3 GOAL ON 5 SHOTS.

Only one or two could be considered scoring chances.

How angry could I be at the skaters?
