Eller got frustrated of playing his worst game of the season so far and accidently used his secret ESP powers

There was no pressure from the fans though... I really don't get this one.

Markov being our best defenseman is like saying that bruised apples are better than bruised bananas.

Hamhuis is a legit mid-tier #1 defenseman. He's just all-around good. On our team, sitting behing Subban? ****ing perfect.

Markov is likely a #3 at best these days. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but he's just not the same player he was before, as much as I wish he was.

Hamhuis' problem seems to be Torts' more aggressive system. He is attempting to adjust to a style he has never played; always the stalwart defender, not the hybrid aggressor. In essence, it's like asking Gorges to be Subban's wheel man. He'll do it, but suck at it.

Hamhuis/Subban would be akin to a far superior version of Hamhuis/Bieksa.

I'd add to Markov to get Hamhuis. And they can have Bouillon too.

Funny thing is, it really is his worst game of the season and he's got a goal and an assist for doing nothing. The Gods are with him.

After failing to get Lecavalier he was probably getting crapped on by the media and fans and maybe he felt that getting Briere might cut him some slack, that's how I feel anyways

I'm really impressed with Price so far this season. He does things he had stopped doing and I hadn't seen in a while from him.

Agree with Mario on that one. If we win this is because of Carey

Yeah, maybe they thought they'd score brownie points with the fans. That's very possible. I can't think of any other reason for making this move.
