Komisarek

Not sure if it's been posted before or when it played, but I just found this interview with Komisarek's sister and father. I must of missed it on RDS.

My favorite Habs in order:

1) Saks
2) Higgy
3) Komisaurus

who needs Canadians on the Canadiens?

Komisarek grew up on Long Island and Healy played for the Islanders. Healy also had a comedy routine with Pat Flatley called Flats and Heals.

Healy was the best goalie in NHL 94 for some reason. I'm unstoppable with NYI in that game.

I could be wrong, but I thought I heard his family was Polish.

i remember seeing how happy he was when he was drafted, and to think people on this board and the habfan boards wanted him gone last year or the year before because he hand't developed.

great to have him on my favorite team.

Correct...Komisarek is Polish.

Komisarek's parents immigrated from Poland to New York...

With Komisarek, there will be no more ''Polish Prince'' jokes!! (referring to Czerkawski).

Very classy family... Mr.Komisarek seems really kind and down-to-earth, and Mike's sister seems very kind too (also down-to-earth, and yes...very pretty!! I just had to mention it ).

Mr. Komisarek was very proud that Mike was drafted by the "New York Yankees" of hockey. Yankees have 25 championships? We have 24 & counting...

Go Komisarek Go!!

That definitely wasn't me...!!

I was a huuuuuuuuuge fan of Komisarek from the get-go.
First saw him when he was 18...
I was soooooooo impressed with his skating, size/height, talent, and...I saw a definite leader (all-heart) oozing out of him.
I still like to compare Komi to a bigger, taller, faster Adam Foote...

Same with Higgins...I was huuuuuuge fan from the get-go (since he was a Bulldog).
