The Hurricanes have terrible luck when it comes to goalies. Now they're looking at Peters as a back-up, again.

Cam Ward is above average but i think he signed that deal a after that cup run in 06. He's been regressing a little bit every year.

Indeed, with the way this season is set up, it's going to happen a lot.

Maybe even Detroit will start slacking now.

I am looking forward to tommorow's game between the Wings and Bruins. They could be 1 and 2 in that division by the end of the season.

Yes, the Wings and Bruins fighting for supremacy in the Atlantic division.

That just ain't right.

Anaheim is absolutely destroying Ottawa in the early going.

OTT is making ANA look like world beaters.

ANA's D group are impressively mobile though, Lindholm looks very good.

It's a good thing we don't play the California teams anytime soon.

Ottawa has given up over 100 shots in the last two games.

Dallas actually had the 2nd worst PP in the NHL in 2011-12.

Capitals PP isn't very good this year ironically because Ribeiro actually shot the puck. All the opposing team has to do to shut it down now is stand next to Ovechkin and block Mike Green shots. Backstrom won't shoot and Grabovski won't rotate with Backstrom or pass to Brouwer.

I don't get the love for Anaheim's retro jerseys they wore tonight. They made me want to puke then and they make me want to puke now.

Datsyuk is just ridiculous. Clowns Chara to get by him and then makes the no-look miracle pass to Z for the finish.

Both are elite, elite players.

Detroit looking good today, even without Howard in net.

DeKeyser is getting better game by game. Absolute pleasure to watch him on the blue line - already better than Kindl/Smith

"The 3 goals the Bruins have given up is the most they've given up this season"

The fewest the Oilers have given up is 4.

When i heard that i thought the same thing.

What i find interesting about this game is how Detroit always find secondary scoring. Cleary and Weiss with goals along with that highlight reel goal from Zetterberg.

Boston looks a bit off today, they can play better but they aren't completely horrible either.

Well Weiss is a previously established top-6 player for sure. With guys like Cleary and Bert, Detroit is good at finding complementary players that don't cost $6M *cough*Eberle*cough*. I think their lines right now are a spread of 3 solid offensive set-ups:

Zetterberg Datsyuk Bertuzzi
Franzen Weiss Abdelkader
Cleary Andersson Alfredsson
Tootoo Miller Glendening

Not a bad way to set it up - remember they've got Samuelsson and Tatar ready to jump into a top-9 role when required - both more than capable of that.

And once Helm/Eaves are both healthy again that team should become somewhat of a force to be reckoned with.

Pretty surreal seeing Chris Osgood on the intermission panel on FSN-Detroit.

How can someone give honest feedback on what he's seeing when he was in the locker room with 80% of these guys just a couple seasons ago. Seems so weird.

I like the Wings this year, especially since they play in the east. Less travel will be good for the older guys.

We all know the east in general is weaker than the west too

Great goaltending from Gustavsson, amazing resilience on that 5-on-3 - just quality quality hockey from 2 great teams.

Datsyuk almost pulled his second great magic trick of the day with that late-3rd gallop through the Boston D
