Btw, José Gonçalves is pretty good for the Revs.
My dad said Helder Postiga as a joke the other day. He's also a Sporting fan...

Honestly if there were one or two Portuguese players my dad would follow the impact a bit more.

anything but Italians, their holier than thou attitude is cancer. I mean there are so many ethnicities in Mtl, I find it very selfish to have no diversity. They should stop trying to be Italian, there are more Italians in this team than Inter, Udinese, Fiorentina, Napoli, even Lazio iirc. LMAO this is beyond pathetic. No Russians, No Portuguese, no Greek, no Japanese? I know you cant have people from everywhere at the same time but damn.

And for a Portuguese in Montreal, I picture Hugo Almeida as MDV replacement.

They should try and pick up Messi now that he's redundant in Barca because of Neymar

I was hesitating between the two. I would prefer Almeida because he's more physical.

Anyway, there's need to be a real mix to reduce the chances of cliques happening. :/

Who exactly has an holier than thou attitude?

Ferrari and Nesta have got to be one of the most down to earth guys you could ever meet.

Di Vaio can be a jerk sometimes but bring me a jerk every season if he's going to score 20 goals a season.

Paponi I haven't seen any sign that suggests he could be an ass. Pisanu might be the only one, but again I think it's a motivation issue with him more than anything.

Exclude Ferrari
I was mainly thinking about Di Vaio. I dont care if you score 20 goals. Its not about how many goals you scored, of course you will act like a jerk if you score 20 goals or else why would you feel superior? Keep whining when he doesnt get the ball or when someone else shoots like your the only one suppose to be on the scoresheet. Notice when he gets sub off thats when we play quicker, create more chances?

Nesta is a down to earth fella, but his attitude on field is starting to get b****y. It seems like he doesn’t like to blame himself for any of his mistakes and always shake his head or pointing them whenever someone makes one, Like your the perfect one? Instead of complaining why dont you help them?

Lol Paponi and Pisanu I forgot they were on the team

EDIT : Nesta still helps players a lot he should just control his emotions on field.

The owner doesn't control.his emotions, the GM doesn't and the coach doesn't... of course the stars won't.

Management has to stop blaming exterior factors (they do even if they don't say so, their attitude and their actions prove it) and hold themselves and our players accoubtable for.their shortcomings. Complaining on Twitter.about refs and league decisions gives a bad example to your players, even to a legend.like Nesta, because they feel they aren't part of the problem, that the problem isn't the team or its play. That's why we are in a free fall, there is no accoubtability nor REAL leadership on this club.

There are reports suggesting that the MLS will start as soon as the 2014 season with a european type of schedule. Season would start in July with a 4 to 6 weeks stop in the winter. Season would end in May.

For this to work in Montreal they would have to play all their home games from July to October, which is kind of ridiculous.

Might as well just relocate the league to Mexico. They can still call it the MLS though, albeit the Mexican Soccer League.

Well, I guess Olympic Stadium will become our permanent stadium. I like that idea and at the same I don’t like it. Season would be longer, but playing at the same time than all other leagues ? Soccer in the winter ,,,

Where did you read that?

I can't believe that it will actually happen. Too many northern teams play outside for it to be feasible. The Canadian teams as well as NY, NE, Philly and Chicago all play outside. Doesn't make a pleasant atmosphere for the fans to have sit through the snow, rain etc.

On the score and toronto sun. But they stated later that the MLS has denied it.

Talk about a flash in the pan. Whoa.

One reliable person reported a possibility and all of social and mainstream media exploded over it.

The good thing is that MLS responded within an hour and put the rumor to rest.

The schedule is not changing in 2014, and its almost certainly not changing in and longer term.

Here is the best article I found that expains all the issues at hand, both for and against the move: http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/s...ule-rumor.html

We need minimum 4 pts in the final 3 games. With the way things have been going I'm not sure we can get the 4 pts. The game against Philadelphia will be crucial. I'm not expecting anything against LA.
