Bournival should in Hamilton developing his skills further.

It's nice to want to have young players but we dont want them to become limited. Veterans who can do what he is able to only do NOW are available for a song.

Physically fit, high hockey IQ, blazing speed, decent size. What's not to like? The kid has not looked out of place. In fact he has looked really good.

And his speed his unreal.

Dumont never impressed me very much. Nor did Leblanc, he was merely solid. Palushaj was ****ING HOT GARBAGE with us.
By watching him in the games I thought he was 6'11. He is smart with the puck and is very fast. Our 4th line is much more effective with him in the lineup and for that matter he is much more effective than DD

He's the reason why our 4th line is WAY better. I wouldn't mind seeing him in the 3rd line instead of Prust.

Very solid 3rd line player. Speed with some skills, when the youngsters are gonna be in our top 6 (gallys and eller). We need some skills in bottom 9 too. Thats why w have bournival and drafted maccaron

I just don`t understand why Therrien hasn`t figured out what a natural talent Bournival is....the poor bugger has been playing with Moen and White (Stone hands #1 & #2) and he still creates scoring chances....This guy deserves to replace DD on the top line IMO or at least centre the 2nd line.....HE DESERVES ICETIME, with some skilled players......I am REALLY impressed with Bournival.

He does look like he can play on the third line at the very least but I'm fine with him being brought along slowly. Nothing wrong with him giving our 4th line a boost. He'll earn his promotions soon enough.

He's been a very pleasant surprise. I think he can easily replace Gionta next year. He's a great luxury to have at the moment. Very interested to see what his ceiling is. Even if he doesn't improve drastically he can still be very valuable to our team. He seems to have the will to improve.

I have a feeling he'll become our defensive specialist and feed off other teams top scorers mistakes sort of the way that Carbo used to do.

What I'd like to see in the near future:

Eller
Galchenyuk
Plekanec
Bournival

Frolik was rather "dry" offensively during his time with Chicago even though he has the physical gifts. That's the Frolik Bournival could be role-wise.

Maybe in the future, but definitely not in the present.

Let's not hype the kid up too much, now.

The general analysis from everyone in here is making me think of him as the new Tom Pyatt, with a bit more offensive skill. Defensively aware, great speed, can win faceoffs...he's about the same size too. Pyatt was phenomenal PKer though, that part remains to be seen in Bournival.

Tommy P was a big factor in our 2010 run, so I'm not opposed to having another one who can potentially become more.

Plekanec-lite imo. Speedster with AAA work ethics who can do well on the PK early in his career.

He will be more rugged and more versatile as he can play the wings but Pleks overall offensive game was better

Plekanec needed 3 AHL seasons (well 2, 3rd was the lock-out)

He should be sent down if they wont use him.

Totally agree. But...

We need a 3rd line Center now to serve as a mentor. And I think this will be Plekanec until the end of his contract. Bournival would act now as our 4th line center between Moen & White.

By far the best middle lineup we will have had in ages.

Imo Dumont never been one of our ''golden boy'' but I know what u mean. Its really nothing against him honestly but I always hated having him on the 4th line, in the bottom 6 we need BIG guys, well as big as possible, not 5'8 smurfs... Bournival isnt a giant but he's bigger than Dumont and faster. Im tired of these dwarf-like 4th line potential prospects... its not WOW its the NHL god damn.

I believe Frolik was an offensive player asked to play a very defensive game, and frankly, he excelled at it.

you forgot Matt D'Agostini to that list! LOL

Definetely will play in the NHL, 3rd liner for sure.

I hope he gets a couple pts before he gets sent down, if he does get sent down.

White may be on his way out.

Nicely put WTK. I see him as a solid 3rd line player, with the potential to fill in the top 6 from time to time.

I think they'll keep White until the end of the season at least and that's if they doesn't resign him. Dude has limited skills but he accept being benched without complaining. So in case of injury he is a good plug to have around. He's also dedicated to the team and will defend his teammate. Also I havet he impression that his teammates likes his attitude and his personality.

If we're going to drop White to replace him by a comparable player, I'd rather keep him. It's not like his salary is busting our cap either.

Bournival our golden boy?

dumont last year's golden boy?
a 13th forward is not a golden boy.

TOM ****ING PYATT??

Lars Eller is our golden boy. Galchenyuk is our golden boy. Gally is our golden boy

unless my definition is wrong, a golden boy is someone who you can say no wrong of, that produces and is the face of a team/organization/company. The best salesman is a company's golden boy. Harvey Spector is a golden boy. Tom Brady is a golden boy, not his ****ing backup.

Bournival is a NHLer there is no doubt about it, he plays a very effective 2 way game, he does every little things extremmely well and competes hard every shifts.. He could play on about any NHL third lines right now and Im pretty sure the kid could play on a second line at times in case of injuries without looking out of place.. I just love how he plays, very strong and powerful north south type of game, a coach favorite.. I play Bournival over White any days of the week..
