Someone already made that map

Can someone explain to me the difference between NHL Center Ice and Gamecenter Live?

I feel so clueless when it comes to all this. I'm considering getting some sort of subscription so I can legally and easily watch more games. However my biggest problem is the fact that I don't have cable or satellite tv or anything like that. So I'm pretty sure I can't access the channels even with a subscription and I would only be able to use the online component.

Could anyone provide some recommendations?

If you don't have cable or satellite, get GCL. For one it's cheaper, you can work around blackout(tho you live in St. Johns' so, it's not a problem for you). The features are also better you can watch replay of games right away just by a click, you can also watch older games. I've had it for 2 weeks now and no complaints.

I stand by Center Ice as a northeastern person. I only get blacked out during Philly games, which I can't watch anyways because Comcast are a bunch of words which would be censored anyways.

The feed is in HD on Directv, I have no streaming issues like I would with GCL and I can watch it in perfect clarity on my Plasma without booting up my desktop and using a 30ft HDMI cable.

I need a friend who would trust me completely to let me sign into GCL and see if I can actually watch Avs games or not (because GCL website says that the blackout information isn't 100% certain)....just one time to see if it works because if it did, I'd be cancelling my cable so damn quick, everything else I watch is on Hulu or Netflix

I use HockeyStreams, it is pretty shady but I have been really happy with their service so far.

Anyone have Franchise Hockey Manager?

I loved EHM but stopped playing a little while ago. Thinking of buying FHM if it's an upgraded version of EHM.

WASTE OF MONEY! Do NOT buy it!!!!

It was rushed to the market. Lots of bugs.

Honestly, go look at the forums first. So many people have requested a refund of that game. My buddy and I were both going to create online leagues but the product is just horrible.

That said, the OOTP folks are pretty decent. In 1-2 years it will be a good game. I have faith.

So if I was to get GCL, would I be unable to watch Ottawa/Montreal games?

That's what I'm gathering from this map. And that would be quite unfortunate since I enjoy watching those two teams more than any other not called the Avalanche.

Most of them are on TSN, or CBC or RDS so depending on where you live there's a good chance you wouldn't get them. There are easy work arounds to get them to work though. Browser addons that block your location, etc. Very very very easy.

Thanks! I have CBC but no TSN or RDS

And I think my last question is related to users. Can you have multiple people on the same GCL account?

Oh hell yeah!

Paul McCartney's new album, funnily enough entitled "New" is in stores today!

Just got to wait an hour until my Best Buy opens so I can go get their exclusive Collector's Edition!
