Not.
Its a good thing Moneyguy told us the straight up goods that this team would finish no worse than 10-8, and would possibly be as good as 12-6.

In all my time on the board I don't know that I've seen a prediction be more off the mark.

Your playoff prediction for the Oil might come close.

He was throwing you all off what really would happen. Just wait for the guy who cashed in big money on the teams playing against the Eskimos.

Whenever I'm optimistic I tend to get burned. Hard to be optimistic about any of the Edmonton teams. still, I think its way too early for the pitchforks for the Oilers this year.

What do people expect with new coach, new systems, schemes, adjustments. Theres always a learning curve. We have some poor learners on the Oilers.

I agree, but if MacT doesn't find us even an average goalie soon this season will be sunk before too long.

The stats are far more in our favour this year and yet we still keep losing because the goalies can't make saves.

This is officially the worst sports era in Edmonton history. Why did I have to live through this?

still makes me laugh.

know what else make me laugh?, it was he esks sending the renewal notice out 3 weeks ago.
yeah, like if I don't renew in September of the worst esks season of my life, I won't get a good seat.
the timing made me almost instantly throw it away.

That team is putting me in a terrible mood right now as well Stoneman. Seriously, have we not been put through enough **** already?

We (at least those of us old enough to experience it) had one of the all time best hockey teams back in the 80's and certainly most exciting. This city also had THE all time football team for a long span in the late 70's and early 80's, sprinkled with some good teams thereafter. I'm not sure who sets up the Karma evening up markers, but I think we've more than had our share of sports suffering at this point, don't you?

Amazing composure by Cornish not just decking him there. Cornish just walks away shaking his head with Tate still in mid temper tantrum.

Drew Tate must lead the league in players on his own club he pisses off.
Cornish is a massive ***** though, probably the most arrogant looking player I've ever seen, so I got a chuckle out of it.

I think I'll make my way to the stadium on Friday night, but I'll need to smuggle in a flask. No way am I watching this team sober, or filling their pockets further with beer sales.

yay! the last home game tonight!
I'm not sure if announced attendance is actual or includes all season tickets sold.

I would be shocked if there are even 25,000 real butts in seats this evening.

They're both aholes. Plus they're both stamps, lol.

That aside I always find it funny when a small guy that wouldn't stand a chance is beaking off somebody that would clean his clock in a second. Tate wouldn't be beaking off like this anywhere else. Plus that you're giving the gears to your bread and butter player for years.
Tate hasn't earned the right to be potty mouthing somebody that has been more instrumental to the team for a long period of time. Tate is going against the natural pecking order there because his ego is the size of Manhattan.

Yes, as much as I hate him, Cornish is the straw that stirs that drink.

Well last painful, wasted evening of the year coming up. At least the weather is half decent. Maybe the team will show some class and make it half price beer nice as a reward to those of us that show up.

lol. right.
the only thing the esks have done is offer a beer that costs $2 more per can, and then make that the only beer available in the stands.

He was on IR a lot at that time, I think there may have been protected by the CFLPA in that situation.

I sense some foreshadowing, haha This from the Esks site:

"Head Coach Kavis Reed talks to the media prior to Saturday's game against the Stampeders."

I just burst out laughing when I read that. Probably fitting. I think this captures the team preparation the whole season.

What preparation

Seriously, I think we played 2 first good quarters in the 15 games. That is ALARMING.

How Kavis kept his job I have no idea.

I don't know if my joke came across. The headline says "Saturdays" game. They're playing about an hour from now.

Reilly said this was the first week he has felt symptom free since his concussion. Wasn't he symptom free heading into the game against the Allouettes?
