I'm really enjoying GTA V so far, has anyone else had the time to play it yet? It says I'm only 10% of the way through but the gameplay and dialogue has all been top notch. I wish I had more time to play it.

I have gotten maybe 6 hours in of V

I am struggling to get more than 3 stars. I guess I need bigger guns. And I need money. I gotta find that armored car full of loot. Digging the radio stations.

I am still stunned a video game shows a nipple. Baby steps.

So my wife bought me XBox One for my birthday today -- supposed to get it Nov 27. I also won a PS4 in a raffle.

Two will enter... one will leave... (be sold). Going to be a tough choice.

Controller is pretty damn nice.

Not too sure where the SteamOS is going, not sure if its actually a gaming device or a OS dedicated to streaming games from your PC to your TV with some extra mobile OS ported games added in.

Man, GTA V's online component sounds great...if it worked. Stuck in endless Waiting for other players or Loading sessions. (XBox 360)

For those of you who enjoyed The Walking Dead by Telltale, you should check out The Wolf Among Us. It's based off of fairy tales where you are the "Big Bad" Wolf and act as sheriff for Fabletown where all the fables live (Snow white, Beauty, the Beast, etc). Similar to The walking dead, there isn't much gameplay and the entire game is based off your conversations and decisions throughout the game. Only the first episode is out but they typically release episodes once a month.

FWIW it is pretty much totally smooth now. Been running tons of races on downtown underground for quick XP and cash plus driver improvements.

Watch Dogs was delayed until well into 2014. I'm seriously considering canceling my PS4 preorder now because there's nothing left in the launch lineup I'm all that interested in.

That's awesome, but that's a franchise where I couldn't care less about a cinematic preview, since it's all about ship building and galactic conquests.

Also, is Stardock still an independent developer? I know they sold Impulse to GameStop...

PC Master Race reporting in. That game definitely has my interest.

Dude, don't cancel the pre-order. Release-day PS4s are selling for a really good amount on Ebay/Craigslist. You could make $200 profit no problem, and closer to $300 with some effort.

Yeah, I should've clicked the link instead of starting the video. It basically looks like Civilization in space.

It's not as good as Civ but I picked up II in the steam sale, it's fun, if you like Civ you will like it

The best part about GalCiv is you get to build your own units from elements/pieces provided in the engine. It's surprisingly intuitive, and you can build some really fun stuff. My favorite ship that I built was basically a Borg cube.

If you're just gaming on it (as opposed to rendering video), there's almost no benefit to a 4770k over a 4670k, or to 16gb of ram over 8gb. I'd downgrade those two and use the savings on upgrading whatever GPU you choose to the next tier (or towards a 256gb SSD).

That's true for these days but soon enough the higher end tier games are going to be using requirements like those in order to run the game on medium to high graphics. Also, I really don't see the point in buying the bigger SSD's because the only thing you really see a huge benefit on is the operating system. You can still download up to 5-8 games on it as well if you get the 125GB and switch them out to your standard HD as you beat them/move on to another game.

The plan is for it to be more than a gaming pc, hence the 4770k and 16gb. Multimedia and stuff (Photoshop etc.....) is something I want to get into. I do plan on upgrading the SSD to a 250 or 256.

As for RAM and gaming, it is interesting to see that games like Watch Dogs and COD Ghosts are now requiring 6gb, with 8gb being recommended. Does make you wonder where things are going in that regard, esp if they start requiring 64bit OS's (such as WD and COD). I believe all the new games based on Frostbite 2.0 will need a 64bit OS. Then again I'm not a tech so who knows...may still be overkill

As far as my GPU, that can wait. Most of the stuff I've been playing of late aren't exactly gfx 'powerhouses'. Not really into COD or the BF3s etc, just not much of an MP gamer (aside from GW2 which I haven't played in a while do fps issues). Most of the "big" games I want are set for next year (Witcher 3, Dragon Age, GTA 5 - rumored). The only game I'm looking forward to now is Wasteland 2
