Also, Gilbert Brule is likely to sign the same deal as Malhotra, only with Phoenix's farm team.

And Anthony Stewart, fresh off a try-out with San Jose, has signed with Avtomobilist of the KHL.

Raised the cup last season. Not that he had a huge impact on it..

I think he's out played a lot of the guys in the bottom 6, of course better than Glass and Adams but also D'Agostini. I am glad he's signed, he could be a real surprise, he's fit in nicely for the Penguins and seems like a guy that could put up some decent numbers this year, I wouldn't get too ahead of myself, but if he is a fixture on the 3rd line, maybe 30-35 points at least.

I keep forgetting to post that Arturs Kulda has signed with Salavat Yulaev of the KHL, per Elite Prospects. Kulda, an RFA, played most of last year in the KHL before returning to the Winnipeg Jets late in the season but never played a game for them. Weird.

Hey... anyone know whatever happened to:

Stefan Legein (last on Manchester 12-13, thought he went to Marlies camp)

Colten Teubert (OKC/EDM last year)

Patrick O'Sullivan (yeah, I know... LOL)

Eliteprospects has Teubert listed with Iserholn in the DEL (he apparently also has German citizenship).

Teubert signed with Iserlohn of the DEL. I don't think he's played any games yet, though.
No idea on the other two.

Teubert is playing in Germany for the Iserlohn Roosters

Syracuse has signed Drew Olson (former CLB D prospect), but as LW. and Mxime Langelier-Parent as well.

He may do the same thing this year. Mark Stuart is likely gone but we have nobody to replace him. Kulda is an upgrade.

Answering my own question, Stefan Legein, former CBJ prospect, and last in the Kings organization, is now playing for the Toronto Marlies (AHL.)

It'll be interesting to see what he can do as a winger.

Where did you hear this caley? I'm a really big Brule fan, and I'd love to see him sign with Portland.

I want to say it was Jim Matheson, but one of the scribes said he heard Brule had other options in the Phoenix system.

I'd love to see Brule stay within the organization, but Portland needs a veteran D, not a forward.

A little early, but now confirmed

I think fans are also forgetting that these are two former third overall picks in Ladd and Bogosian, not two hacks.

And some people forget that draft position doesn't mean anything the day after you are drafted.

I assume that was posted in the wrong thread, but for the record, Andrew Ladd was drafted 4th overall.

And if being drafted 4th overall means you are destined for a great NHL career, someone should tell Jason Boisignore he got shafted big time.

H-I-C-K-E-Y... Oh Hickey... how I remember that day... and with the fourth pick, the Los Angeles Kings select...
