doesnt matter what the offer from EDM was. Coburn should have been ACTIVELY shopped in the off-season. Half the league would have made good offers and Hoemr should have pulled the trigger

good: mason can feel right at home playing for a losing team

bad: timonen's first, second, and third steps, coburn's thought processes, grossmann's puckhandling, l. schenn's deer-in-the-headlights awareness, streit's contract, gustafsson's ice time, and meszaros's (and all their) roster presence. They would not miss a beat with the Phantoms' D in there instead

ugly: thinking about emery coming back in on a back-to-back and doing the splits and going crease to crease

McGinn, Lecavi and Giroux should roll as a first line.

Ive been saying this for months now.

Pronger went down, we beat Pittsburgh in 1 series, but otherwise, this team has ranged from mediocre to awful

They need to create a position for a faceoff coach, because this team has sucked at it since Carter and Richards left. When the Flyers face a good faceoff team, they get demolished. They only won 30% tonight which is absolutely abysmal. They probably would've won tonight if they were even around 40-45%.

I see it just the opposite actually ! The Flyers will make EVERY effort to take their frustration out on Pittsburgh.A win Thursday against a BIG rival is just what they need, and collectively they know it..........It should be a very physical game !

At this point I wonder if Nash would still want Coots, Read and a first for Weber if it wouldn't have been smarter to do it.

Like it or not, from what I have seen out of Read and Coots, they are easily replaceable.

Coburn has reached a Rathje-esque level of suckfulness. I think he's been on the ice for EVERY goal against so far this season. He needs to be benched. Either put Gill in there or call-up Lauridsen.

This team has so many problems. They just don't have the horses.

The good news is after the Pittsburgh butt hurt that's coming, we have a full seven days where we don't have to watch these slugs.

Oh, and before Coburn gets traded please replace Homer with Hexy, I don't want Homer making any more personnel decisions.

The good (and bad?): The guy that everyone wanted to play with the Phantoms because he lacked confidence is the only one scoring goals confidently... and he's just an injury replacement!

The bad: Everything. We are cheering for a non-playoff team. Get used to it.

The ugly: I will keep watching for some reason, even though the Flyers are giving me every excuse not to.

@ Flyers fans: The Canucks stole a win from the Flyers. It's that simple. I don't blame you guys for being upset and I can understand you not wanting to hear excuses, but it really was a solid effort by the Flyers for most of the game. Coach Tortorella just made one of his game saving jolt-the-team line juggles and the Canucks happened to respond to it during a lapse in play by the Flyers. Also, just like Giroux, Kesler has been struggling big time so unfortunately for your team he was due to pot a couple.

Your team will figure it out soon. There is just too many good personnel on that Flyers team for them to be this bad and Mason is constantly keeping them in games so you'd hope the team will rally around him.

Schenn and Couturier looked good again. I'm really tired of Simmonds. If he's not producing on the power play he's practically useless. He occasionally makes some nice plays on the forecheck but relies almost entirely on his linemates to establish possession in the offensive zone.

Anyone else notice our goalie is our best breakout guy? Pretty soon he is gonna just start shooting it himself too. "These guys blow. I guess I need to score too."

I thought it was a fairly evenly played game that could have gone either way. I'd agree it was a solid effort by the Flyers and most people are overreacting. Yeah, the Flyers are 1-6 but I've been mostly happy with how the team has played since Lavy was fired.
