Dumont was a spark plug, he's clearly not afraid to get his nose dirty. No quit in him all night.

Leblanc did nothing. Didn't look good at all.

Tokarski played well. He goes down way to early though. and he is A LOT smaller than I thought he was. He's probably about as big as Halak.

Attendance was about 5000 but won't be close to that again all year unless they play the marlies or go deep in the playoffs.
thanks for this.

Any reports on the latest game? Andrighetto with a goal and an assist! How does he look?

He's looked good so far, good speed and he's got some flash to his game. Seems like he has decent lower body strength, which is something I value highly especially in players that are either lacking height and/or size, or with players that have too much height. Had a good game last night, was involved in the play a good bit, will be keeping an eye on him.

Was surprised to see Aliu on the ice with the goalie pulled, but then he goes and ties it up with 10 seconds, did not think he played well in either game up to that point so didn't think he would be used in that situation.

Leblanc has not done much of anything but his linemate Blunden is playing like he wants to be the first forward to be called up, easily the best Dog so far. Pateryn showing a lot of confidence, playing well at both ends.

Liked what I saw from Tokarski in the first night, Ellis as a healthy scratch for the first 2 games, Quailer and Fournier are said to be day to day, they said Quailer just needs to get his conditioning in.

Who's playing instead of Ellis? Like what's going on with him, like sure he didn't have a mind blowing season but that's sort of what I expected out of him.

Aliu seems to be a bit of an enigma for me. He didn't really do much the first game I saw him. Can't really play all that much, But man.....if I ever saw him in a dark alley I am running the other way . He is definitely not someone I'd want to drop the gloves with and some of the st-jonh's players felt the same way.

He's in the NHL, so they haven't given any updates on him during the Hamilton games.

I don't know about you guys and girls but this year of prospect down on the farm seems very weak in terms of skill and upside talent...........but what do I really know. I thought Kyle Chipchura was going to be a good player and future captain of the habs for many many years to come haha

It's been 2 games...?

No, there are no 1st line game breakers but those guys are playing in the NHL anyway. All you can really expect from the AHL are 3rd-4th liners and yeah that's mostly what we have now. The point of the farm is to turn players into serviceable NHL'ers that can contribute when needed. Some go above and beyond (Subban, Pacioretty) but not every player is going to be those players, or they go straight to the NHL (Galchenyuk, Price)

WOW Kristo has 5pts 2G and 3A in 4 games so far.

There's a black cloud looming over MB's head.

He's 23, so he really should be NHL ready by the end of this year.

Corey Locke's got 3 pts in 3 games. Maybe we should trade Thomas for him?

I'd do that trade. Both have no NHL potential and Locke will help Hamilton.

I wonder why an NHL team drafted him in the 2nd round then. Give the kid a chance. Seriously he's 21.

I'm not a betting man, but I'm willing to bet even money Thomas plays more NHL games than Corey Locke will. Takers?

I'd bet that as well, knowing this organization if we're ever out of the playoffs he'll get sympathy games in the NHL like Palushaj did.
