I don't understand why Vanek isn't signing anywhere else besides Minnesota. Who cares if that is where he is from?

It's the same reason Bobby Ryan's signing with the Flyers when he's a UFA. Don't you know these things are set in stone?

I dont have a link but I am pretty sure it was Vanek himself saying he wants to go to Minn. that's what twitter people said anyway. They quoted Vanek as saying it.

not related to the nhl but Omaha Lancers (USHL) G Cole Bruns has destroyed a league record starting the season with 5 shutouts! Bruns has led his team to the opening 5-0 record playing all 300 minutes and not allowing a single goal on 117 shots.
pretty impressive

Okay that's legit, I didn't see that posted anywhere. All I saw was people speculating that he'd go to Minn because he lives there.

He actually said he wants to play for the Wild while still employed by the Sabres? Yikes...

Got that right. I'm still waiting for Rick Nash, Stamkos and others to announce their signing in Toronto.

Nash and Stamkos are sleeper agents, infiltrating other teams for sabotage so the Leafs will win.

Really? A goal scorer on a team with the fewest amount of goals scored per game and overall won't help?

Former NHL'er Matt Murley recieved one of the dirties hits I've ever seen. He's in the KHL now.

That's way beyond dirty.

Updated 4x: Kronwall has a concussion but will not be hospitalized, has feeling and movement in extremities: Colorado Avalanche winger Cody McLeod roared in on the forecheck and smacked Red Wings defenseman Niklas Kronwall's neck into the dasher boards. Piece of **** got 5 and a game (offset by 2-minute "roughing" penalty to Ericsson) but Kronwall was stretchered off.

It was a very similar hit to Lapierre's hit on Boyle. I'm interested in seeing the difference in suspensions.

Bob McKenzie said it best, it's a popular guy getting hit by an unpopular guy with Boyle and LaPierre, then you have kind of an opposite scenario with Kronwall. Not saying McLeod is popular, but Kronwall sure has a reputation.

He's a predatory hitter like Stevens was. Nobody will really mourn his injury, like our opponents wouldn't mourn a Rinaldo injury.

Same, the guy makes a living off of injuring unsuspecting players with legal hits.

If Kronwall was going to get knocked out I would much rather it have been a "clean" open ice hit like the one he laid on Voracek last year. This one was nasty.

If that was me and I was injured like that, next game I'd make sure the guy never played hockey again.
