The Habs have bounced back after every game they've lost so far this year, I think they'll do it again here. My prediction: 3-1 Habs.

Habs Goals:

Samsonov (2 goals, 1 in empty net)
Latendresse

Devils goal:
Zajac

Habs win 5 - 4 in regulation with NJ's 4th coming with 30 seconds left to the game (The anti-clutch is in nets for the good guys...).

Go Habs Go!

If the Habs score first, they'll win...if not, good luck beating Brodeur.

I know it seems simple as a 'prediction' but it proves especially true with the Devils it seems

Ouch, that hurts. I think the Devs are still beatable though, because we still have a capable top 6 without Markov, even though the quality goes way down.

Oh, I'll also make this prediction...

If we win, we will all talk about how it was an exciting game.

If we lose, we will all complain about how boring the game was and how boring NJ's style of hockey is.

Also heard Bouillon practicing with Rivet, Souray with Dandenault. Guess Carbo's patience is coming to an end.

Not expecting much from this game. Good entertainment value would already be more than enough for me. Not counting on it though. This is NJ. Only way this game opens up is if the Habs score 2-3 quick goals.

I'm going to complain regardless if it makes you feel better.

I would love to see these lines right now,

Latendresse-Koivu-Kovalev
Samsonov-Plekanec-Ryder (I think Pleky and Ryder would have good chemistry)
Johnson-Bonk-Perezhogin
Downey-Begin-Streit

Markov-Komi
Souray-Dandenault
Bouillon-Rivet

I'd love those lines. I really think we have to find 2 good lines that can work. When Higgins will come back, we won't have any problem to place him in the line up. Cause when he will be back, people will not want to break Higgins-Koivu-ryder.

Those two pairings came together in the Boston game, though.

So I wonder if Niinimaa gets in the lineup or Downey?

I hope Downey. At least that way, we get 7 minutes less worth of turnovers.

All I know is that I don't want to see Kovalev and Samsonov play together. It's been said numerous times, but those 2 together are almost cancelling each other out on their line. They don't complement each other. Both try the same plays, both play the perimeter, both don't shoot enough.

I'm weary of seeing 2 right-handed wingers on the same line but at this point, I think this 2nd line needs a shooter. Where's Dagenais when you need him?

No predictions tonight and no vBookie bet either... I'm gonna try and stay positive and just look for an honest 60 minute effort from the entire team.

Win or Lose, I'd like to see it done with no excuses.

Go Habs Go

Only way this game opens up is if Montreal picks up Ovechkin before the game, New Jersey gets Crosby, the NHL implements 3-3 regulation hockey, Brodeur loses all his limbs, and Aebischer...well, plays like Aebischer.

Actually, I'd still be terrified of a limb-less Brodeur. He was stacking pads in the womb.

Im guessing the only way Downey gets into the lineup tonight is if Janssen is playing...and I expect them to go at it EARLY!

I love these games...

I cant figure out which is more entertaining:

The game itself?

Or reading Habs fans' complaints about another boring Devils game?
