I know. I was talking him up to my father-in-law and brother-in-law who live in Swift prior to the game. I am hoping that he is still growing into his body and that the strength in his legs are not keeping up to his body size. The work ethic is not there though. I really have no idea how he put up as many points as he did last year. He doesnt have the hands for it and doesnt get played enough.

The report even gets worse when I looked up who drafted the guy I was the most impressed with out there. Kulak was incredible and was out there all game it seemed like.....and guess who drafted him? Yep...the Flames. Cliff Ronnings boy was pretty impressive for a 16 year old. Just as small as Cliff though.

I haven't been able to make any Giants games yet this year, but hearing that about Houck is shocking. That's the farthest thing from how Houck played last year. Work ethic, solid speed, and decent hands, is what made him have success. Maybe he's hurt?

In regards to Kulak, he does have a tendency to have the odd good game. The problem is him being an absolute trainwreck defensively for 95% of the games. He's like Gernat, but not quite as good

Cool, didn't know he was so physical.

Even from the youtube clips that I saw of him he was banging bodies and getting into dust ups. He didn't look anything like that in camp either. Something seems to be up?

Why? Because you read a scouting report that said so? He's not an explosive skater, but he keeps his feet moving at all times, and has a decent enough top speed that allows him to get in position, and lay some huge hits

I really hate that I haven't been able to make it to any games this year to get a better idea of what's going on, but I can confidently say that last season, he played like that every single shift. The fact he's apparently not playing that way this year (and that he wasn't in camp) has me more than a little puzzled

We have already been through this I seen him live against Rebels and he was one of the slowest players out there in the game. And he even scored lets just agree to disagree on what we rate as solid speed. And he looked like a turtle at camp as well.

Well that's just not true. He's not even one of the slowest players on the Giants

Marco Roy tweeted that he's back on the ice shooting the puck. That should bode well for a return date.

Found some SSM highlights with Nurse, I beleive this is his 3rd game back in the OHL. Gets beat pretty bad on a goal attempt at 0:33 and takes a good shot attempt at 0:57.

But on the plus side the Greyhounds won 4-1 and Nurse finished +2 with 2a and 6PIM. Unfortunately the Ottawa 67's don't feel the need to show opposition goals.

I am guessing Nurse is playing big minutes. I look forward to watching him on team Canada.

Yeah, we were joking about it earlier, but come New Years, this kid might have a very, very good shot at a top-9 role on Team Canada.

Team Canada likes to bring agitators like him for the tournament. I hope he makes it.

He was one of the better-looking kids at rookie camp - but I don't think anyone saw this coming.

For those who've been watching - how's the skating look vs his peers?

Hitmen win in shootout. Only 1 goal was scored in the shootout. Guess who?

Chase ends the night with 1G-2A-3P +2, SO winner.

Has Chase still been playing his disturber role to a "T" while also chipping in so much offensively?

Just another funny thing for everyone to be happy about:
WHL Top Goalscorers
1. Mitch Holmberg (14) --> Undrafted? Damn!
2. Oliver Bjorkstrand (11)
3. Mike Aviani (11)
4. Greg "The Rat" Chase (10)
5. Mitch "Lucic" Moroz (9)
