So, perhaps Roy needs someone faster to play with.

I'd rather see Morrow on the 4th line with Sobotka and Reaves.

No need for Lapierre anymore.
QFT really wish the would send LaPierre.

TOI

Schwartz 19.23 (-2)
Sobotka 17.43
Roy 13.41
Stewart 13.23
Tarasenko 12.35

I watched the game and didn't see a single bad playing from Tarasenko in defense, and with him Schwartz and Berglund looked much more better than with Sobotka. And didn't Tarasenko score in previous game vs Chicago to question his abilities to play vs them?

I personally am with you. I would absolutely love to see more of Tarasenko, and especially in crucial situations like OT.

BUT

Hitch chose to go with other guys, and got the 2 points. That's what it's all about. All good.

Anyone else notice Leopold playing like a forward in OT? Don't know if it was a deliberate move by the coaches or if Leo saw a chance to be a difference maker and took it, but it was for a pretty long time and in two seperate attacks (if i remember it correctly).

Didn't lead to a goal, obviously, but he caused quite a stir there.

Tarasenko was averaging 15 minutes a game coming into this one, ice time is not something to analyse on a game-by-game basis.

But, given his endurance issues last season and this being our first games on consecutive nights of the season it would make sense if that is why Hitch was a little cautious with his ice time.

Ah, yes, the next game is tonight. Then I see why.

The problem though is that Stewart is acting as the playmaker on that line. Seriously, watch them. It's Stewart dishing to Roy.

That needs to switch.
And they need more ice time, Stewie and Roy only 13 last night? Hitch is leaning heavy on Steen/Backes/Oshie early on, you would think that changes if and when injuries hit.

On the Game itself, it's always a great feeling when you leave United Center with 2 points, it's been the house of horrors recently.

I wonder if we see Cole in for Leopold and Cracknell in for Morrow tonight.

Keep up the good work tonight in Winnipeg Blues!

New day with a new game.

New GDT will be up when some ambitious poster gets around to it.
