Man that would be awesome!

I would rather give 5M$ to a guy like Brière than to Sheldon Souray.

I'd rather keep Souray than bring that diving clown to Montreal.

I'm also thinking as a replacement for Captain "could" be Higgins. I also agree that when koivu's play declines (in 2 years) he still has a checking role. I guess what im saying is that when he leaves, do we have a plan as in who is to replace him?

I didn't think Ben Maxwell was this highly touted am I missing something is the kid that talented? and yes M.G. miiight do it but first we have to see what he can do in the NHL.

I'm just thinking its so hard right now for us to get a 2nd line center...that's got me worried for when we need to look for a 1st line center. Hopefully montreal can find another Koivu...yah go grab the other one from Min!

my god, the guy is only 32 years of age.

He still has 5 or 6 years left in him, maybe more.

yeaaa lol.. guys he just turn 32... and i think he can still get 60+ points at the age of 35-36...... soo we are kinda good for the next 4 year....
its hard to look at habs without koivu ehhh?? i have been watching koivu for the last 10 years and hes my fav player soo lets not think of "koivu retires "
i mean this guy is pretty strong (with his cancer and eye injury )

Koivu has one more contract with us in him I think. Probably as a second line center. By then Lecavalier or someone will be a free agent and we'll have a great 1-2 punch up the middle (dream dream dream, dreeee-e-e-eam).

I love how so many people think the next big name player coming to Montreal is generally a French player. Call me skeptical, every year we hear x player wants to play in Montreal, yet that magic dollar figure always sways their mind. The odds are, Lecavalier, Crosby, Briere, etc will never dawn a habs uniform.
