Overpaid for the ROI so far......still don't see anything overly better than Carle who is playing pretty well according to Tampa fans who supposedly hated him all last season. Guess a new coach helps....oh only if it's the Flyers of course.

Streit is just there to me....I do like that he gets his shots on net..so I give him that. We'll see if he picks it up along with the rest of these dawgs....

Streit would probably have 5 more pts if this team can score. An offensive defensemen looks poor when the team can't score.

Came here to post this, the play he made last night where he carried it down the RW and fired a dart across to Voracek (who got cute and went backhand instead of letting a shot go) are the types of plays you pay him to make. Not his fault nobody can hit the net.

I don't really have a problem with him. He's been pretty much what I expected minus the points which no one on this team besides B Schenn seems to get.

Streit has been pretty good actually. He's pushing the play pretty well, and as others have said, he'd easily have 3-4 more points in the forwards could finish anything. I don't think anybody thought he would be bad this year, it's just the back end of that long term deal that could get ugly very quickly. Here's to hoping the cap keeps going up and his cap hit won't look that bad.

He's making the right plays offensively. But those plays end with giving the puck to players who are just bumble****ing their way up and down the ice so he doesn't get rewarded.

Thought the PP looked better with Streit on the point of the first unit last night.

Funny, I was just going to drop by the Flyer board to see if I could find some info on how Streit was doing (I've not watched any Flyer games this year myself).

Glad to hear he is working out. Streit was such a fantastic find for the Isles that you really can't help but wish him well even after he moves on to another team.

I do think he is going to be a fantastic pickup for you guys, at least in the near future. There were times on the Island where he was a one man attack and I think we'll miss his wheels badly as time goes on.

Anyway, hope he continues to do well for Philly.

Thanks. I've noticed that Streit is actually much better in his own zone than a lot of people wanted to give him credit for. Granted, we're comparing him to our dumpster fires in Coburn and Mez, but he's looked good nonetheless. He's got some great offensive insticts as well. He always seems to jump into the play at the right time.

He was fine defensively on the Island until last season. He did struggle, especially early on at that point, but I always attributed that to injuries.

with him as the PPQ that PP looked just like last year PP.

maybe if we resigned Matt Carle maybe Pronger wouldn't get injured ,

Certainly less than expected, but more than others who have underachieved more if that makes sense.

The alternative was trading Couturier + for Yandle.

I'll cut my losses with Streit. There wasn't another option in-play.

To me, Streit's play is one of the only positives. He's solid defensively and really moves the puck and joins the rush as expected.

0 goals, 7 points, 21 games, - player. Not a defensive defenseman. As bad as the isles d is ,it looks like a smart move not doing everything possible to keep him. $$$

Homer once again got into a bidding war with himself over a free agent
