So Replacement, should we ignore all your game day posts?

My last comment on the Yakupov benching - people were *****ing all season long about Yakupov not getting enough minutes, and Krueger moving him along too slowly, yet at the end when he was given more time and better linemates, he produced very well.

Don't really see any difference with Eakins here, except maybe that Hemsky's resurgence has made his lineup picking harder.

Hey I'm just a lifer here giving good and reasonable advice. Its like required reading on safe game watching methodology. It should be copied and reposted. lol

Judging from most GDT's and PGT's here I think its possible that I am in pretty good company.

I haven't done the statistical legwork on this but I'd say probably "normal" curve..a scary thought I realize

seems like a constant MacBlender, maybe that slows down when Gagner returns
The PP
I'm not a huge fan of the way he does the star players on the PK thing. I wouldn't mind if it's 1 star and 1 defensive minded guy together on the PK. I cry a little inside when it's 2 star players.

I also HATE the blender, I'm with you 100% there.

I don't hate him. He seems like a nice guy, he seems like he cares about systems, he's not afraid to bench players, and he's got an attitude about him which just seems like he wants to win, and you'd think that would be infectious.

But the team, most likely, is going to go 0-6 on this road trip (Ottawa on a hot streak, Montreal who've already beaten us), and then we're playing the Capitals.

1-9-1? A serious regression from Yakupov? An inconsistent swarm defence? PKs and PPs that have gone from some of the best to some of the worst?

Not saying I advocate him being fired. But there are some serious issues surrounding this team, and I don't think it lies solely with the personnel on the ice.

Ugh. Because I want to like Eakins. And I want this team to win.

At this point MOST of the blame has to go on the players. Guys like Hemsky, Nick Schultz, Petry, etc have been in the league long enough, and they should know how to get the puck out of their own zone by now.

Hopefully he is able to adjust the systems that are not working which is most of them.

Craig Button's comment on Oilers Now right now about Eakins presser comment was pretty damning...

Eakins, “I knew this renovation was going to be messy. I didn’t think it would be this messy.”

TEACH, macho man.

Yeah I didn't mean that 2 star players had to be on the PK, but getting the star players more involved in general seems like a good idea.

If you look at the predictions at the start of the season.... its such a contrast to your forums now...

Bottom 5 D and you dont have a starting goalie... this is killing you guys.

I think you guys should trade one of your 4 young forward stars and bring in some D and forward depth with size and grit.

We're both saying the same thing ...get the stars out there, just 1 at a time!

Thanks for setting us straight. I'll be sure to pass this masterstroke on to MacT.

Awesome. Thanks for the drive-by wisdom. Will keep in mind.

Just out of curiosity, do you grace every other team's boards with your munificence, or just us?

Bad Eakins. Both Schultz's suck and no Larsen. Burns out the Nuge and has unrealistic fitness expectations. Plays Smyth on first line. PP/PK went from great to suck.
Good Eakins
Team shoots more.

Geez who would've thought teaching guys yet another system would take time.

I'm not sure how long this 'system' excuse will stand for. The players just suck in general.
