I'm praying like crazy that Markov plays tonight. Does anyone actually believe he has the flu or do you think the Habs are hiding an injury? Let's hope its just the flu.
This is a MUST win. Habs play Buff. on Sat. and this week could easily turn into a four game skid. However, Huet is back in net. He's pissed off at himself. I think he getd a shut-out. He's just like that.
3-0 Habs. Samsonov - I've decide to be stubborn and just keep naming him until he scores- he's got to one of these days, right? Right? Koivu, Perezhogin.
Habs got lucky last night, both Ott. and Carolina lost so the point last night moved them into fourth place one up on Car. with I think 3 games in hand.
I get to watch the game tonight. Hope Markov plays tonight because without him we don't do well (historically). Perezhogin will extend his point streak to 4 games.
All I want is a strong performance. We havent been playing that bad, the habs need to stay disciplin out there. Its been what two games in a row were we get a penalty in the first 15 seconds of the game.
We should be able to take advantage of their lack of foot speed on Def with a strong cycle...and Komisarek may have enuff family members there to help the Isles crack the 10,000 mark ....lol...and if we do take a lot of penalties the AGG of the PK we might be able to score a couple of shorties
markov does not have the flu, he was scratched because he was traded..
they just anounced it..
NOT
i hope he does come back! and we need to win tongiht
damn i wish the lines would change!
HOLY **** Man, I just about fell off my chair when I read your opening bit. That's just cruel. All I could think was, whaaaat? crap, I didn't see that announcement.
Was not a happy moment, I guess that just tells me how much I don't want to see this team without Markov.
It's going to be an interesting game. Kommie returns to play in front of his home crowd. Was hoping for Higgins, but that's ok, one is good.
It's the Habs up front speed that gets me concerned as an Isles fan (and yes, I have cojones for sauntering into enemy territory tyvm ), hoping myself that they can hold them back in the first. A scoring fest in the first wil result in an L.
Rico should be 100%, the media and the team was nonspecific about his injury, and given his performance as of late, here's hoping he returns to form.
As for Comeau, what a game to make his debut in. Impressive down in Bridgeport, but would have preferred Nilsson or Tambellini to get the nod instead.
No predictions from me though...can't watch tonight...and this isn't our GDT anyway
We really need this one! I predict a 3-1 win. Goals by Souray, Ryder and Streit (out of his 2 goals last year, he scored one against the Islanders so there you go)
ARE YOU CRAZY?? YOU TRYING TO GIVE ME A FRICKIN HEART ATTACK!!!
I did actually do a double take when I scanned your post. Jeesh! Put a smiley face on it when you do that...hehe
GO HUET

bout damn time! lets see what they came up with and how it works out. either way, we need to come out on top tonight!
Bad feeling about that one. If I remember correctly, we always seem to find a way to lose against the Islanders at Nassau Coliseum. I hope we'll find a way to win tonight, with a better effort (let's aim for 60 minutes of effort instead of our usual 40, is it possible with this team?). I also hope to see Carbonneau end the Kovalev-Samsonov experiment, it doesn't work, move on...
