That shot may have not gone in on an empty net. He shot that way high.

Hornqvist just doesn't know what to do on a break away

This is why Hornqvist isn't on the shootout.

I don't think any of our forwards outside of Smith/Forsberg know how to deke.

Can we finally get an empty netter?

No, but we'll ice the hell out of the puck though.

A sweep of the weekend in Canada, 2 goals total allowed- can't ask for much more than that- great job!

Preds win 3-1. 2-0 on the road trip so far. Good game by Hutton. I know we were all skeptical of him as the backup but if he can play like that all season we'll be fine.

Nice to get a little streak starting up. Spaling made some nice defensive plays to keep it in their zone the last minute, I don't know why all of you were so down on him during the off-season.

Congrats to Hutton for his first win.

Carter Hutton with .974 save percentage in his first ever NHL start. Mitch Korn strikes again!

4-1-1 after that poor 0-2 start. Keep it up boys. Great job getting 4 points in a road b2b.

Very impressed by Hutton, wish he had gotten the shutout but solid effort by him.

Negatives for me:

Cullen made a couple of stupid plays but made up with it on the 3rd goal.

Hendricks...compliance buyout anyone?

It's really getting comical- over 2 more minutes of empty net time this weekend- no goals.

Regardless of who we are putting out there, you'd think just by accident we'd get one every now and then.

Oh well, we won so who cares!

Word is that Hendricks jersey's are being marked down at the pro-shop. Will it be enough to spark a sale or will they end up being boxed and shipped to Africa after the Super Bowl.

Also second game in a row where we iced the puck at the end. Need to knock that out

Hendricks with another rough night. I saw maybe one decent play from him all night, far from enough to counter the gaffes he had.

Hornqvist with the Smith-like comic relief sky shot.

What bothered me most on the Jets goal was that all three of our letter wearing "leaders" were standing around as the Jets kept digging for the loose puck. Veteran leadership needs to play smarter in a situation like that.

Still, there is a lot to build upon after the last few games. Points in five straight games. The PK looking better. Taking two on the road brings us to .500 away from our barn.
