I'd take the bet : you play Grabovsky on the second line until the trade deadline. We already know Kovalev can't be the second line center, we already know Plekanek can't be our second line center, and our second line is in the dump, inneffective. Why don't we take a bet on Grabovsky? If the bet fails, trade for a second line center at the deadline like you are supposed to do. What do we have to loose? We have less to loose than when we made the decision to keep Latendresse, and it was a good shot. Why can't we have two good shots in one season? It could work, and if it doesn't, we don't loose anything.

Grabovski is not ready. I think you should remove him from your equation.

Stupid Canucks blew a 3 goal lead against Carolina. OT.

Tremblay to Danrik Sedin, scores, 4-3.

Haha, we? Who's we? I have watched pretty close to none of the Bulldogs this year so I wouldn't know how he's doing other than stats. I would be very surprised if an AHLer is the solution for the second line.

I don't know what we have to lose. I haven't seen Grabovsky play so I don't have much of an opinion on his potential.

I've seen him play and I think he's ready. People on the board have seen him play and they think he's ready.

Eklund is or was saying that there were talks betwen Vancouver and Montreal about Naslund ...

But Naslund is at 6 m$ , so the Habs would have to free the cap sapce for him , with the players they would give .

What are the needs of Vancouver ? more offensive and more depth ?

They need offencive wingers and they need prospects. We have both of that.

Honestly guys... there's no need to insult the guy, and if you're going to ignore somebody you don't have to advertise the fact. If you don't like the guy or disagree with what he's saying just ignore him and leave it at that.

Naslund would be a great addition to our team but I don't see how we could trade for him without giving away some of our best assets or core players. The Vancouver fans and media would be up in arms if they traded Naslund. If I was the owner and Nonis came to me and said he wanted to trade Naslund I'd probably veto the trade and hire a new GM.

I know. I think Naslund has as much trade value as Koivu. But, the Canucks don't have a winning team and could use prospects and picks, since they are not going to make it this year. If I'm thinking for the Canucks, I'm thinking : Why not stack up a future powerhouse instead of having a bad team ? Trading Naslund for good prospects does that.

Doesn't Naslund have a NTC? Besides, your lines make no sense. Grabovski is not ready for the big team, nevermind the 2nd line centre job, and Ryder doesn't even play LW.

Yeah that seems likely. I mean, most teams trade for an All-star calibre goaltender when they go into rebuilding mode. I mean, that's just logical, right?

As asinine as it sounds, Vancouver is trying to win now. I personally think they've missed the window, but that's what's going on over in V-town.

So we give up out future for a guy that would not fit in our cap situation?
