@FisolaNYDN: Steve Mills in fact returning to the Knicks to replace Glen Grunwald.

So Grunwald gets to build the team for the year, and is then axed? I wonder what he did to get fired?

Dolan wanted to give 100M deal to JR Smith. He said no to Dolan.

If I was a Knicks fan I would just not go to Knicks games anymore. Give money to Prok instead.

Stephen A. was just ripping Dolan on the radio. I don't necessarily agree with Stephen A. all the time but this time he was spot-on saying that as long as tickets are sold Dolan could CARE less.

No thanks, Dolan has lucked into two good GM's (even though he axed both of them) while Prok hires awful management.

This is a dumb move because Grun was the man, but if we get K-Love in 2015 everything is forgiven.

Steve Mills is a well connected NBA guy with players and agents. The Knicks are looking at rebuilding the roster again in 2015 when the contracts expire. Allan Houston will probably gain more prominence in the Knicks front office. Grunwald wasn't the guy to lure the big name free agents to the Knicks. Mike Woodson and Grunwald are tight. After the Indiana loss,Woodson is on the hot seat.

Hard to see him remaining the coach after this year, Mills will want to hire his own guy, maybe hire Zeke again Mills.

Mills lost his job with the Knicks because of the Isiah mess. Cablevision CEO Hank Ratner wants no part of Isiah Thomas.

Quote:
Thatís not Dolanís style. Dolanís lieutenants, including Garden head honcho Hank Ratner and Garden prez Scott OíNeill, have convinced Dolan hiring Thomas in an official capacity isnít good business. Dolan still talks to Isiah, as Thomas is always looking to help where needed. But thatís where it likely will end for now

This team is incredibly sloppy to start this season. Complete opposite of last season's start.

This Minnesota team wasn't healthy last year. But you knew if they were they could be dangerous. The Knicks don't match up well with them and they deserve to be getting killed

Melo needs to keep attacking. The shots will fall. Refs called it really tight that half. I can see the Knicks make a late run to make it a game.

I think both he and Love were hurt last year when they won in Minnesota.
