ESPN said some scouts will be at the game tonight for Edmonton/Montreal's game. They said teams will focus on Edmonton's players and they might make a huge trade to shake up their team. One guy said that Desharnais is being watched closely by Florida and speculates that Beaulieu might be showcased.

Anyhow I read somewhere that Tomas Kopecky and Dmitry Kulikov are available. Perhaps a trade like Desharnais+Beaulieu for Kopecky and Kulikov.

So this guy would be an upgrade on Markov? Like really?? Somebody posted it...

Nikita Nikitin might end up playing in Tuesday's game after being a healthy scratch Saturday.
Whether or not Nikitin plays will depend on the availability of James Wisniewksi, who is a game-time decision due to an illness. Nikitin will serve on the Blue Jackets' third defensive pairing if he plays at all.

I wouldn't give them much. He looks like he can't process the game at the NHL level.

Especially the time we lost Josef Balej for Kovalev.

Players who start out hot, then cool down to barely a 4th liner warrant a large return ? He's at an all time low right now.

I hope we can get a first for Leblanc.

I'll do Desharnais for Kopecky. He has two years left to his contract 3M per year. He has no points this year so far but Kopecky is 6'3" and could play all three forwards positions. He was part of Chicago 2010 edition winning team with a certain Marc Bergevin.

So Kreider for Leblanc or is it not worth it?

I know we are plagued with injuries right now and the course may change when peeps from IR get healthy and mentality of the team sparks. Look what Ottawa and Caps did last season BUT if we don't make it to plgio may offs Marc should use this as advantage to rebuild the team. Loan Bourque to a runner up. Gio might also be usefull for some with pending ufa. If Briere produces loan him! And for gods sake atleast try to trade DD. Or atleast showcase him to show him that his status is not that solid. Boullion is gone after this year.

Forget about Brière he's gone... As in career over or very close to be over. I wouldn't play a commotion prone player like this in the playoffs, ever.

The best opportunity for loaning is trading Gionta to New Jersey imho. Bergevin will have the lower end of the stick on this however.

If I'm the Habs GM, my trading block would be like so:

DD-really nothing to see here but he can be moved to a team like Dallas and Nashville

Diaz-I know many here like him and I do to but....

Gorges-Depending on the trade, I still dangle his services.

Gionta-Yes the captain.

Plekanec-Yes he does the little thing right but that's why, he has great value.

Beaulieu-young, talented and almost NHL ready. I'm sure he would gather good interest.

I'm not suggesting trading them all but I would be making phone calls.

thats kind of the point, there is no need for the rags to rush a deal for him right now when his value is so low. they would ask alot or just roll the dice in keeping him.

unless its a problem prospect for a problem prospect type deal.

If I am the GM every player on the team is available for the right deal. He should be listening to every offer even ifs its for the so called untouchables.....

Couris has a legitimate hatred for Tomas Plekanec. No point arguing with him.
