Hall will eventually learn. He has to or he's going to head into dieptro territory.

What exact thing could he have done differently that would have saved him this trouble? Be specific.

Ottawa lost their norris trophy Dman, their starting goalie and their top forward/center last year. Hung in there and made the playoffs. Just when are the oilers going to actually overachieve a wee bit and over come injuries that all other teams have to deal with and get some results.

The excuses will never end with this team. Injuries, new coach and system every second year...yada yada yada. We have more skilled guys than we can fit on the top two lines so we should be able to over come the Hall injury.

How many times has hall been injured in his short career? The guy has already suffered a concussion, sprained knee, massive shoulder repair, might even need a knee repair and the guy is 21. The guy plays a reckless style and its piling up.

I guess he should have sucked his knee up into his stomach for that hit.

exactly.... it sucks losing hall for a month or more, no doubt... but we are actually in a decent position to fill his gap.... we have good skill depth on the wings (yakupov, eberle, hemsky, perron) that should be able to make up some skill difference... losing another center would have been much more devastating

it is interesting in the year we finally have enough dmen to withstand all the normal injuries you have to dmen in a year, we don't really have any d-injuries, lol

I guess our wingers should stop trying to gain the zone then .... ?

...what does that have to do with Hall getting injured a lot? He is becoming very injury prone.

The statement was directed at what Hall should have done differently on the play to avoid an injured knee... now it's gone all wonky with answers that don't math the question

I said that because Hall was injured on basically a nothing play. Gryba got him with an awkward knee, he could have missed altogether and taken himself out. The year before last it was a freak accident in warm ups, and before that it was a lingering shoulder issue from before he was a pro.

Hall hasn't been caught with his head down in a while, he's changed the way he plays. Sometimes you just have ****** luck and take an awkward knee on a weird hit.

I honestly kinda thought the team would lose him for the season, so this isn't so bad, but they probably have to make a move or two to help out this group.

Yup, an injury prone player missed three games last year (two due to suspension).

Here's a newsflash - hockey is a tough game, injuries happen all the time.

What a huge blow. Hope he'll be 100% asap. Time for the current lineup to work even harder.. but ugh.. this is gonna be a painful month.

Ya, its not exactly Hall's fault that some ass decided to lead with his knee

Gonna suck watching this team without Hall for 3-4 weeks, but his absence is no excuse for a lackluster effort. We can fill this void, and with all our centres back soon, no reason why we can't get on a roll.

Agreed.

And if we can just get these injuries out of the way, we should be able to finish strong.

Also, several pages back, it was mentioned that Stauffer expected Hall to be out a month, and looks like he was right on the money.
