Nystrom has impressed me so far. Hendricks, Cullen, and Stalberg not so much. So basically we paid like 9 million a year for Nystrom

im in favor of swapping beck and forsberg.
Yeah, as my edit shows, I agree with you.

I'm thinking they're probably trying to keep him fresh. Sure, young legs, but also not adapted to the wear of an 82 games season, and a tough 3rd game in 4 nights on the road is a fairly logical place to give him a rest game.

Hey guys just want to say that a certain Wild poster on the main board game thread tonight made us look bad.

Just ignore his outlandish comments in the future.

We need to take at least two points at home in the next two games and get to the four day stretch without a game in decent shape in the standings. The boys need the rest. We need to get Fisher back healthy. We need to figure out the lines and put players where they fit best ... sitting Hendricks, putting Stalberg with players that complement his game (not Hendricks) before rushing to judgement on his fit here, assess Forsberg and make a decision if he needs to stay on the big club right now or work on his game in Milwaukee for a while.

Two well played games followed by an absolute stinker. A tolerable road trip when viewed objectively but the image of tonight's play taints the performances in Montreal and Winnipeg.

Good thing we replaced Forsberg with Clune so he could bring some real grit to the team............. that Nystrom adds, that Gaustad adds, that Hendricks adds........ Who needs one of the arguably better puck possession players on the roster playing?

Said that about Hendricks last week.

Maybe that is why Stalberg was a scratch in the playoffs.

This roster sucks and the blame is squarely on Poile and Trotz

Count me in the Club that thinks Forsberg would benefit from a stint with the Ads. And no, not Moser as a callup, agree it should be Beck. Guy is more what is needed and has paid his dues. Can't polish a turd (this game )- it is what it is. I need to turn my brain off for a while now.

The team played one poor game in the past six outings ... and that was the third road game in four days. There were plenty of issues in tonight's game, but, as long as tonight is the exception rather than the rule the team should be o.k.

The comparisons of Fiddler and Hendricks are completely flawed. Fiddler was a consistent 11 goal per season scorer for the Preds who could be counted on. So far, Hendricks is failing to live up to his signing ... nevermind his salary. His game this season is a far cry from any performance he had in Washington.

Neither Beck nor Moser is making a clear cut case as the first call up right now. Both with 1g, 1a, +1 through four games. Sissons with 2g, 2a so far.

We're a team that is notoriously good defensively and has trouble scoring goals yet we sit Forsberg to insert Clune in to the lineup? How about sit Hendricks and let Forsberg play? Nah. We didn't need someone who could create some offense or is good on the PP. That would be silly.

The flip side is that Forsberg is a -6 in less than 11 minutes of ES time per game. He is able to keep the puck on his stick, but, he is also learning his way in the defensive end of the ice. As poor as the entire team was at establishing any offensive zone presence, it's unlikely that Forsberg would have magically reversed that.

Where was our "notoriously good" defense tonight? It was a shooting gallery for most of the game.

hard to make the call when not seeing more than stats. ill trust poile's opinion. i think beck is the obvious choice. i thought he should have been here to start the season.

How can there be an obvious choice if its hard to make the call without seeing more than stats? The concept contradicts itself.

the problem is partly just perception.

think about how differently we would be talking about this roadie if we had won the MTL game, lost in WPG on the 2nd of BTBs with our backup goalie, and then won tonight.

we would likely all be very pleased and relatively optimistic right now

***k sitting forsberg. Hendricks needs to sit. I'm sick of seeing his s****y face and stupid dumb look skating around. It irks me to know how much money we spent on him.

We sit forsberg, an offensively talented 19 y/o. We need to waive/trade hendricks and get a pick (i know it won't happen) and bring up Sissons and make one more damn trade.

I also get that this is a road game and we didn't completely have our legs. I'm not so much angry about the result as I am about some of our player choices and scratchings. we don't make sense most of the time and it pisses me off.

And what did Hendricks contribute?
