Vanek pulled a Rolston, didn't he? And then Sammy does the usual... Oh well, we should've won this but the Sabres are the better team and have more shootout talent. I don't know why Saku didn't try the same move, it's been working for him.

Samsonov couldn't score in an empty soccer net so I knew it was over.

Briere seems to always go for the 5-hole.
I would make sure this hole is filled and pray.
Huet was weak on this goal.

Damn It!

If it's Souray wrist again, then we are in trouble.

It looked like his RIGHT hand, does anyone know which hand he had all those surgeries on????

Glad you have absolutely no say on what goes on with the team.

They weren't that bad tonight.

Yeah Vanek pulled a Rolston.Great shot!!From now on a slapshot in the shootout or on a penalty shot will be considered "A Rolston".

That was a good game by the Habs, can't complain about the effort that's for sure

It's strange cause I think Huet is great at a break away in a game situation but he seems to falter during the shoot outs, guess it cant all be perfect though, I'll certainly take it

Huet was shaky all game long with lousy rebounds...
Refs sux but oh well, getting used to it...
Briere flip-flop on the ice and embelishes so much....I hate him.

Souray got surgeries on both wrists, but the "long" one was the left wrist.

And bring back Streit on Defense -- was the most effective D-Men in the OT. Which is quite a feat when you realized he played forward most of the game (except PP's)

Taking a point from a game with the Sabres is good, even if two would have been nicer. I have a feeling the game would have gone the Habs way if the officials were consistent in overtime instead of turning a blind eye to 3 obvious Sabres' penalties.

The Habs are slowly starting to pull away for second in the division. Hopefully they can keep it up next week against the Bruins, Lightning and Pens.

I know it's easy to criticize after the fact and I'm sure Carbo had noble intentions, like getting Samsonov going, but to put a guy who's confidence is at an all time low in the shootout is plain dumb. There was just no way he was scoring on Miller especially with the pressure of scoring to keep the shootout alive.

That being said, not the end of the world, we can comfort ourselves in the fact we played at least as well as the Sabres all night long, it was a very exciting game and we will wake up tomorrow with one more point over Ottawa, Boston and Toronto.

I think Huet had an awful night, fighting the puck all night long, not moving well, getting down on his knees as soon as the puck was 20 feet from his net. He needs to shake this thing up.

But hopefully with Higgins coming back in a few games our offense will find back the early season opportunism and we'll start ending up on the winning side of those closely fought battles again.

Here's hoping Souray's injury isn't serious.

I was one of the first to call out Bouillon for poor play after coming back from his injury, but he was much better tonight.

Samsonov also was a lot better.

And for the Rivet haters out there, he played a very good game, apart from a dumb penalty, but he fell victim to the dive machine so you can't really blame him there.

Yeah a good fast paced game.We came out on the short end but will take the point and move on.At least it wasn't a snoozefest like the Devils game last week. for both teams.
